Before you make your College Football Week 7 over/under game total picks review my projections.
College Football Over/Under Total Projections Week 7
Thursday, Oct. 10
Syracuse at NC State: 57
Syracuse averages 28 per and allows 28 per. The NC State Wolfpack averages 29.8 and allows 20.8. Math tells us this should go over. Although sometimes it’s prudent to go against math, it wouldn’t be smart in this matchup because the Orange defense is downright pathetic while NC State’s D is nothing to write home about either.
Saturday, Oct. 12
South Carolina at Georgia: 55 ½
Georgia could blank South Carolina on the scoreboard. The Gamecocks don’t have much offense while the Dawgs’ defense has truly stepped it up in recent games. It means UGA might have to get the overall by themselves. Can they do it? Probably. Will they do it? Not likely.
Cincinnati at Houston: 54
Cincinnati plays tough defense. But the Bearcats head into this battle off a scintillating home victory against big-time rival UCF. Bearcat defenders could end up playing down to their competition in this matchup. Houston averages 33.8 points while allowing 32.3. The analytics point to this game going over.
Iowa State at West Virginia: 51 ½
This seems like a meager college football point total for a Big 12 game. West Virginia’s last three contests have gone over. Iowa State has played in two over games in their last three. Over it is!
San Jose State at Nevada: 59 ½
Neither one of these squads plays a whole lot of defense. Nevada has trouble scoring, though. The Wolf Pack averages less than 20 points per game. Also, the under is 4-1 in the San Jose State Spartans’ last 5 contests.
Nebraska at Minnesota: 56 ½
Minnesota is undefeated because they can score with teams that wish to put points on the board. Or, they can play defense with teams that wish to slow things down. Nebraska will try to play fast. This time, although the Gophers can play fast, they won’t. Instead, Minnesota will look to beat the Huskers straight up in an under game. The spread is only 3 points. Minny to cover to the under parlay looks like a nice play.
Hawaii at Boise State: 62 ½
Hawaii has one of the top passing offenses in college football. The Warriors average 356.8 passing yards per. That ranks fourth in NCAAF. Boise State only allows 16 points per on average, though. The Broncos will find a way to temper Hawaii’s passing attack.
Louisville at Wake Forest: 64 ½
This is a massive total. It’s so massive that even though Louisville will score some points, and so will Wake Forest, it’s impossible to go over. The Cardinals could try to slow it down as well because they average 230 rushing yards per game.
