College Football Week 11 Five ? Lock Picks

Two games in the Pac 12 and one between Big 12 teams make up College Football Week 11 Five Star Lock Picks. Oregon battles Stanford in what has become one of the most anticipated rivalry games in the Pac 12 on Nov. 14. Also that day, Oklahoma takes on Baylor in one of the most important games of the year. Who will win and who will take a huge step backward in the eyes of the College Football Playoff Selection Committee?

A Closer Look At My College Football Week 11 Five ? Lock Picks

Listen: Southern Cal vs Colorado

Analysis: Colorado played UCLA very tough two games ago in a 31 to 35 loss. That was UCLA. When Colorado faced Stanford in their last game, the Buffalos showed that they shouldn’t have even been on the same field. Stanford beat Colorado 42 to 10.

USC has the chance to do the same thing to Colorado on Friday night. The Buffalos just aren’t as talented as the Trojans. The Trojans did have trouble against Arizona in a 38 to 30 win this past Saturday, but Arizona has the offensive fire power to score with the Trojans.

Colorado doesn’t. Expect USC to absolutely demolish the Buffalos on Friday night. USC should win by at least 20 in this.

Pick: USC

What: Oregon Ducks (6-3) at No.7 Stanford Cardinal (8-1)
When: Saturday, November 14, 2015
Kickoff: 7:30 PM ET
Where: Stanford, CA
Stadium: Stanford Stadium
Weather: 67° F | Passing Clouds
Spread: Stanford -9
Moneyline: Oregon +290 vs Stanford -350
Game Total: 69
Watch: FOX
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Listen: Oregon vs Stanford

Analysis: For years, Oregon has had the upper hand against Stanford in their yearly battle that almost automatically decides the winner of the Pac 12 North Division. The battle won’t decide the winner of the division this season. But, Oregon would like nothing more than to put a beat down on Stanford, who is climbing the ranks and playing like the best team in the nation week in and week out.

The Cardinal should have no issue covering the spread in this matchup on Saturday. Stanford averages 440.6 yards and 37 points per game while allowing an average of 338.7 yards and 20 points per game. Oregon allows a mind-numbing 489.7 yards and 37.2 points per game.

Maybe, Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey jumps ahead of LSU RB Leonard Fournette for the Heisman in this matchup. It’s going to be hard to not notice McCaffrey if he racks up over 300 yards and scores 6 touchdowns in this.

Pick: Stanford

What: No. 12 Oklahoma Sooners (8-1) at No. 4 Baylor Bears (8-0)
When: Saturday, November 14, 2015
Kickoff: 8:00 PM ET
Where: Waco, TX
Stadium: McLane Stadium
Weather: 62° F | Scattered Clouds
Spread: Baylor -3
Moneyline: Oklahoma +135 vs Baylor -155
Game Total: 77
Watch: ABC
Stream: Watch ESPN
Listen: Oklahoma vs Baylor

Analysis: The spread has gone south in a hurry in this battle between Oklahoma and Baylor. Oklahoma is being given the benefit of the doubt because they didn’t lose their starting QB and their defense is playing better than Baylor’s.

But, Baylor’s new starting QB, Jarrett Stidham, threw for over 400 yards and passed for 3 touchdowns without an interception in Baylor’s 31 to 24 win over Kansas State last week. That game was on a Thursday. Stidham is going to have plenty of time to find ways to beat Oklahoma’s defense.

Baylor’s defense is more talented than the final score in their games assumes. The Bears play a bend but don’t break defense. So expect Oklahoma to score more field goals than touchdowns while Baylor gets the ball in the end zone with regularity.

Pick: Baylor
