College Football Week 13 Five ? Lock Picks

In the 2015 College Football Rivalry Week, there are 3 teams that appear capable of really handing it to their rival opposition. Oregon State travels to Autzen to take on the hot Oregon Ducks. Baylor travels to TCU to battle the Horned Frogs. In the third lock of the week, Notre Dame battles Stanford.

A Closer Look At My College Football Week 13 Five ? Lock Picks

What: Oregon State Beavers (2-9) at Oregon Ducks (8-3)
When: Friday, November 27, 2015
Kickoff: 3:30 PM ET
Where: Eugene, OR
Stadium: 44° F | Passing Clouds
Weather: Autzen Stadium
Spread: Oregon -34.5
Moneyline: Oregon State +8500 vs Oregon -23000
Listen: Oregon State vs Oregon

Analysis: That’s a lot of points to give up in a rivalry game, right?  But, here’s the thing, Oregon State is the worse team in the Pac 12, by far, and Oregon has played like one of the best teams in the Pac 12 in the past couple of weeks.

Plus, Oregon State’s new coach probably doesn’t understand how important this game is. Oregon State’s defense has no chance of stopping Oregon QB Vernon Adams. Adams completed over 80% of his passes against Stanford in a Duck’s win. He completed over 80% of his passes against USC in Oregon’s last game.

Oregon State has lost 0 to 41 to UCLA, 24 to 54 to Cal and 7 to 52 to Washington in their last 3 games. Adams and the Oregon offense are going to roll in this.

Pick: Oregon

What: No. 7 Baylor Bears (9-1) at No. 15 TCU Horned Frogd (9-2)
When: Friday, November 27, 2015
Kickoff: 7:30 PM ET
Where: Fort Worth, TX
Stadium: Amon G. Carter Stadium
Weather: 68° F | Lots of Rains
Spread: Baylor -1.5
Watch: ESPN
Stream: Watch ESPN
Listen: Baylor vs TCU

Analysis: The reason there is no betting line in this game is because both Baylor and TCU might be without their starting quarterbacks. TCU might be without QB Trevone Boykin. Baylor might be without Jarrett Stidham.

It probably won’t matter who starts for Baylor. The Bears showed renewed confidence with their rushing attack in a huge 45 to 35 road win over then undefeated Oklahoma State. Baylor needs to win out and hope that Oklahoma State upsets Oklahoma. If that happens, the Bears could garner a spot in the College Football Playoff. Expect Art Briles to have his team fired up to take on TCU on the road. Baylor should win and cover the spread.

Pick: Baylor

What: No. 4 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (10-1) at No. 13 Stanford Cardinal (9-2)
When: Saturday, November 28, 2015
Kickoff: 7:30 PM ET
Where: Stanford, CA
Stadium: Stanford Stadium
Weather: 55° F | A Mixture of Sun and Clouds
Spread: Stanford -3.5
Moneyline: Notre Dame +150 vs Stanford -170
Watch: FOX
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Listen: Notre Dame vs Stanford

Analysis: Notre Dame continues to win. But, the Irish hasn’t been impressive since beating USC 41 to 31 in mid-October. Notre Dame is 1 and 3 against the spread in their last 4 games. The problem is that Notre Dame didn’t cover against Temple, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest and Boston College.

Now, Notre Dame takes on a Stanford team that bounced back great after losing by the slimmest of margins to Oregon. Stanford pummeled California 35 to 22 in their last game. The Cardinal should be able to add the second loss of the season to the Irish’s record. Stanford won’t lose to Notre Dame at home.

Pick: Stanford
