College Football Week 2 Two-Team Parlay Pick

  • #11 Notre Dame -10
  • #9 Georgia -17

No. 11 Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Virginia Cavaliers
When: Saturday, Sept. 12, 12:30 pm ET

Analysis: The Irish have one of the hidden gems at quarterback this season in Malik Zaire. Playing against a decent Texas defense, Zaire completed 86.4% of his passes when throwing for 313 yards and 3 touchdowns. Zaire didn’t run the ball that much, which is actually a good sign for him.

Virginia had trouble with UCLA freshman quarterback Josh Rosen in their first game of the season. The Cavaliers allowed the freshman to complete 80% of his passes. If they couldn’t stop Rosen, Virginia is definitely going to have trouble stopping Zaire and the Irish offense even though the Irish lost RB Tarean Folston for the season.

C.J. Prosise filled in admirably for Folston when rushing for 98 yards and a 4.9 average from 20 attempts versus Texas. He should be fine behind an excellent offensive line. The defense played great versus the Longhorns. Notre Dame could win by 3 touchdowns.

Pick: Notre Dame -10

No. 9 Georgia Bulldogs at Vanderbilt Commodores
When:  Saturday, Sept. 12, at 12:30 pm ET

Analysis: The line should be over 20 by kick-off. Georgia is still the pick in this matchup. As good as RB Nick Chubb was in Georgia’s beat down of ULM, it was a team effort. The Bulldogs rushed for a total of 243 yards with Chubb picking up 120 of those. Keith Marshall ran for 73 yards from 10 carries. He’s a nice back-up to Chubb.

Vanderbilt really played hard versus Western Kentucky. The defense was good, but Georgia and Western Kentucky play 2 very different offenses. The Hilltoppers are a spread formation passing team while the Bulldogs run the ball. Vanderbilt’s front seven should get squashed in this matchup.

Georgia beat Vandy 44 to 17 last season. It might be worse for the Commodores this time around.

Pick: Georgia -17

College Football Week 2 Three-Team Parlay Pick

  • #11 Notre Dame -10
  • #9 Georgia -17
  • #25 Tennessee +3

Oklahoma Sooners at No. 25 Tennessee Volunteers
When: Saturday, Sept. 12 at 3:00 pm ET

Analysis: Oklahoma’s top player, RB Samaje Perine, rushed for only 33 yards and a 3.0 average versus Akron in the Sooners’ 41 to 3 win. It was strange, but Perine never established much on the ground.

Now, Perine and Oklahoma face the Volunteers in Tennessee in Week 2. As good as Oklahoma’s passing game looked, it probably won’t be enough for the Sooners to beat the Volunteers at home. Tennessee is much improved this season. The Vounteers beat a decent Bowling Green squad 59 to 30 in Week 1.

QB Joshua Dobbs led an offense that racked up 604 total yards. Oklahoma’s defense was terrific, but it might have trouble stopping Dobbs and the Vols’ offense. Expect Tennessee to outscore Oklahoma in what could be a shoot-out.

Pick: Tennessee +3
