My College Football Week 3 Two-Team Parlay Pick

  • No. 9 Clemson -5 over Louisville
  • No. 16 Georgia Tech -1.5 over No. 10 Notre Dame

No. 9 Clemson at Louisville
When: Thursday, Sept. 17 at 7:30 pm ET

Analysis: Clemson has played nobody so far this season. Okay, they beat up on Wofford 49 to 10 in Week 1 and they destroyed Appalachian State 41 to 10 in Week 2. See?  They’ve played nobody.

Louisville might actually be a nobody team. The Cardinals are 0 and 2 after losing to overrated  Auburn on the road 24 to 31. Then, in their first home game, they lost straight up to Houston 31 to 34 as a -13.5 point favorite. How is Clemson only favored by 5 in this game?

QB DeShaun Watson is completing 77% of his passes. The defense is ranked fourth in passing yards allowed and nineteenth overall. Clemson should destroy Louisville in this matchup.

No. 16 Georgia Tech at No. 10 Notre Dame
When:  Saturday, Sept. 19 at 3:30 pm ET

Analysis: Notre Dame’s season rested on the play of QB Malik Zaire. Although the Irish stormed back to beat Virginia after Zaire went down with a broken ankle, the rest of the season doesn’t look so rosy.

This Saturday they take on the Ramblin’ Wreck of Georgia Tech. Georgia Tech has one of the most phenomenal rushing games that’s ever been produced in college football. The Yellow Jackets average an incredible 457.5 yards per game on the ground.

Notre Dame’s defense is good, but it’s not deep. Expect the D to get worn down. It’s hard to see Georgia Tech not winning this one by at least 10 points.

My College Football Week 3 Three-Team Parlay Pick

  • No. 9 Clemson -5 over Louisville
  • No. 16 Georgia Tech -1.5 over No. 10 Notre Dame
  • No. 7 USC -7 over Stanford

Stanford at No. 7 USC
When: Saturday, Sept. 19 at 8:00 pm ET

Analysis: Does anybody care about Steve Sarkisian’s supposed drinking and pill problem now? USC has been the most impressive team in the Top 10 to date. Sure, this is the Trojans’ first real game, but the defense hasn’t allowed a team to score more than 9 points against it.

The offense scored 55 against Arkansas State, who by the way lost by only 7 to Missouri in Week 2, and 59 against Idaho. QB Cody Kessler should be the Heisman favorite now that he’s thrown 7 touchdowns, 646 yards, and 0 interceptions in 2 games. Kesslers is completing close to 80% of his passes.

Stanford bounced back after the upset lost to Northwestern with a 31 to 7 win over UCF in Week 2. This is a huge step up for the Cardinal. Expect USC to roll on Saturday.
