College Football Week 7 Betting Trends

So far this season the NCAAF docket has kept bringing us to our feet every single Saturday with big plays and big wins.  This upcoming weekend is no exception.  The big 4 games that I think you should look for and bet on this Saturday are:

  • (25) Missouri vs (7) Georgia
  • Boston College vs (3) Clemson
  • (19) Northwestern vs Wisconsin
  • (18) Michigan vs Penn State

These are my College Football Betting Picks for Week 7:

(25) Missouri vs (7) Georgia

  • When? Saturday 12 PM ET
  • Where? Sanford Stadium
  • What’s their against the spread record? Missouri 5-0 ATS; Georgia 1-3-1 ATS
  • What is the point spread for the game? Bulldogs -8.

The Georgia Bulldogs have won four games in a row, even with the extra time required to beat Tennessee last week in the 34-31 overtime win.

A win against 25th ranked Missouri this weekend will help bolster their chances at a prime time bowl game come December. Also with this victory it would be the third win over a ranked team for this season, and that might be enough to dispel the loss against Clemson in the season debut.

Georgia is 12-1 SU in its last 13 games at home and 4-1-1 ATS in its last 6 games at home.

The Tigers, on the other hand, are 15-4 ATS since Sep 08, 2007 on the road after a game as a favorite.  They beat Vanderbilt last week 51-28 and covered a 3-point spread as road favorites.  Missouri is undefeated after five games, but their next three will show exactly how good they are as they face Florida and South Carolina on consecutive weeks after this game.

What are the betting trends for this game?

Boston College vs (3) Clemson

  • When? Saturday 3:30 PM ET
  • Where? Memorial Stadium
  • What’s their against the spread record? Boston College 3-2 ATS; Clemson 3-2 ATS
  • What is the point spread for the game? Tigers -24.5.

Clemson can’t look past unranked Boston College this weekend.  The Tigers face Florida State next week in what should be a showdown, but they need to beat Boston College on Saturday remain undefeated.

The Tigers average 44.2 points a game after beating Syracuse 49-14 last week.  QB Tajh Boyd is yet to throw an interception in the season and looked awfully comfortable last week after throwing 455 yards and 5 TDs.

Clemson is 15-4-1 ATS since Nov 03, 2007 as a favorite after a game on the road.

Boston College arrives with a 3-2 record and a 48-27 victory over Army last week. They are also 0-7 ATS since Sep 15, 2012 on the road.

The Tigers will be the second rank team the Eagles face this season; they dropped a 48-34 loss against Florida State two weeks ago, but managed to cover a 24 point spread at home.

The Wildcats have lost three straight meetings in Wisconsin; the last time they won there was on September 23rd, 2000 with a final score of 47-44. Last week they lost their first game of the season against Ohio State despite scoring 30 points.

The Badgers didn’t play last week, but their last game was a defeat also against Ohio State 31-24.  Wisconsin is 3-2 in the season; the other loss came against Arizona State.

"Hey, if we’re going to be a great team, we’ve got to win these close games, and we talk about that," Wisconsin coach Andersen said. "I don’t see it having a negative effect. These kids will plow through it, and they’ll work hard all season regardless of wins and losses."
