Analyzing My 2014-15 College Bowl Games ATS Picks
Texas Longhorns vs Arkansas Razorbacks
Date: Dec. 29, 2014
Start Time: 9:00 p.m. ET
Location: Houston, Texas
TV Info: ESPN

Radio: Texas Vs Arkansas
Point Spread: Razorbacks -5.5
Game Total: 45.5
Both, the Texas Longhorns and Arkansas Razorbacks have been much improved teams as they closed out their respective 2014 regular seasons.
While each team lost their respective last contests, both have a lot to play for in what looks like one of the more entertaining bowl games on the 2014-15 docket.
Having said that…let me also say that I fully expect the battle-tested Razorbacks to get the win and ATS cover against a Texas team that is statistically worse than Arkansas on both sides of the ball.
Charlie Strong is finishing up the first year of a rebuilding plan that looks like it will take about three years to get the Longhorns back into national title contention wile Arkansas is starting to flourish under now, second-year head coach Bret Bielema.

The Razorbacks played absolutely phenomenal football in each of their last four games in shutting out both, former No. 1 Mississippi and title-contending LSU while narrowly falling to, Mississippi State and Missouri by a touchdown.
Arkansas averages almost 10 points per game more than the Longhorns while simultaneously allowing 3.0 fewer points per game defensively. Not only that, but the Razorbacks play far tougher competition in the SEC than Texas does in the so-so, Big 12.
Arkansas wins by a touchdown by forcing young signal-caller Tyrone Swoopes into at least two costly turnovers!
Texas Bowl ATS Pick: Arkansas -5.5

Two teams that were once both considered potential national title contenders before falling almost completely apart will look to end their respective 2014 seasons with a victory in this intriguing bowl game matchup and I know which one will walk away victorious!

You see, while LSU lost four games and was never really a threat to win either, the national championship or SEC title this season, they’re still the clear-cut favorite in this contest.
Because Notre Dame has pretty much quit on this season after being decimated with one costly injury after another.
The Fighting Irish have lost four straight and five of their last six games and have looked more and more listless with each passing game.
Sure, LSU has its share of problems, but the Tigers have played hard all season long and clearly have the talent to play with teams like No. 1 Alabama, a team they narrowly lost to 20-13 in overtime on Nov. 8.
USC got man-handled in its humbling 49-14 blowout loss against USC on Nov. 29 and looks like a team that just wants to bring their nightmare campaign to a merciful end.
Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson has regressed into a turnover machine while LSU true freshman running back Leonard Fournette looks like he’s a lock to live up to his superstar potential.
With Notre Dame going 2-6 ATS in its last eight bowl games and LSU going 4-0 ATS in its last four non-conference games, I say the Tigers close out their season with an emphatic win and ATS cover over the reeling Fighting Irish!
