Expert Picks College Football Week 11

Mississippi State at Alabama
When: Saturday, Nov. 10 at 3:30 pm ET
Where: Bryant-Denny Stadium, Tuscaloosa, AL
TV: CBS
Odds: Alabama -26

Analysis: Alabama’s now 6-3 against the spread after putting a 29-0 beat down on the LSU Tigers. LSU ranked 3rd in the College Football Playoff Rankings, which means Bama, the first ranked team, handled the third-ranked team on the road without any issues.

Bama now faces Mississippi State, a team that’s also gone 6-3 ATS this season. The Bulldogs have gone 3-1 ATS in their last 4 while Bama’s gone 3-0 ATS in their last 3.

If this game had been a few weeks ago, Mississippi State might have a shot to cover. The Bulldogs have a good offense. But, this game occurs just when the Alabama defense has hit its stride. Not only that, Bama’s getting healthy at the right moment.

The Crimson Tide will win and cover the massive spread on Nov. 10.

Pick: Alabama

Washington State at Colorado
When: Saturday, Nov. 10 at 3:30 pm ET
Where: Folsom Field, Boulder, CO
TV: ESPN
Odds: Washington State -4.5

Analysis: Washington State finally lost a game against the spread in their 19-13 win over California in Week 10. Although the Cougars lost ATS, the win might have been more impressive than any of their covers.

Washington State beat a tough team by leaning on their defense. They can lean on their offense in most any game. They leaned on their defense and beat the Cal Golden Bears.

In Week 11, the Cougars should go back to their offensive juggernaut ways. Arizona hung 42 onto Colorado in a loss. Washington State could score 50 against the Buffaloes.

Pick: Washington State

Auburn at Georgia
When: Saturday, Nov. 10 at 7:00 pm ET
Where: Sanford Stadium, Athens, GA
TV: ESPN
Odds: Georgia -14.5

Analysis: Since the 24-30 loss to Tennessee on Oct. 13, the Auburn Tigers have turned in a couple of great performances, beating Ole Miss 31-16 and coming back against Texas A&M in Week 10 for an excellent 28-24 victory.

Based on those two wins, the Tigers should stick with Georgia. But, Georgia’s been just as impressive in their last couple of games against Florida and then Top 15 ranked Kentucky as Auburn was beating Ole Miss and Texas A&M.

More importantly, Auburn doesn’t have much shot scoring against a Georgia team that only allows 16.4 points per.

Pick: Georgia
