No. 5 Notre Dame at No. 2 Florida State
When: Sat, Oct 18
Where: Doak Campbell Stadium
Kickoff: 8:00 PM ET
Spread: Florida State -11.5
NCAAF Game Of The Week Free Pick – No. 5 Notre Dame at No. 2 Florida State
Preview: Florida State (6-0 SU, 1-5 ATS) remained unbeaten by spanking Syracuse 38-20 in Week 7 though they failed to cover the spread as a 23.5-point favorite.
Unfortunately, the Seminoles have another Jameis Winston distraction to deal with now after reports were released on Tuesday that the reigning Heisman Trophy winner allegedly sold memorabilia and autographs for financial gain.

While Winston just put one distraction behind him to beat Syracuse, varying reports are now saying he could potentially miss this game, though I personally suspect he will play.
"He just played ball," Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher said of any distraction Winston may be facing.
Winston completed 30 of 36 passes for 317 yards and three touchdowns in the win. "It’s not about distractions," Winston said. "It’s about Florida State football."
Notre Dame (6-0 SU, 4-2 ATS) remained perfect by squeaking past North Carolina 50-43 in a much tougher game than was originally expected.
"We managed to find a way to battle back and get up on them and score 15 points late in the game and get a win," Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly said. "There are many, many things I could delve into, but I would say the thing that points up for me is that our guys know how to win football games. They found a way to win this one."

Either you love the Notre Dame Fighting Irish or you hate them, but no matter how I feel, they’re my pick to cover the double-digit point spread against Florida State on Saturday.
Outside of their most recent effort, I love the way Notre Dame is playing defense this season and I believe they’re going to give Florida State fits much like Oklahoma State did in their regular season opener.
Besides the Fighting Irish’s defense, I also like the way quarterback Everett Golson is playing this season and I believe he has a very good chance of outplaying Jameis Winston in this matchup.
Notre Dame has a +17.3-point scoring differential that is nearly identical to Florida State’s 18.3-point differential. In addition to Golson playing outstanding football this season, the Fighting Irish have also gone 5-0 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record while Florida State has gone 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall.
I like the Seminoles to win but Notre Dame to cover the spread as surprising double-digit road dogs. Besides, aren’t the Seminoles about due to fall victim to Winston’s foolishness?
My Pick: Notre Dame +11.5 Points
