Why Bet On The Georgia Bulldogs Over Auburn
The now, top-ranked Bulldogs had a tough matchup on their hands last weekend but managed to get past South Carolina 24-10 in a hard-fought battle as quarterback Jake Fromm had one of his best games of the season. The freshman signal-caller tossed two touchdown passes while running back Sony Michel added 81 rushing yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. Defensively, J.R. Reed and Malkom Parrish each added an interception in the win although the Dawgs never came close to covering the chalk as an insane 23.5-point home favorite.
Why Bet On The Auburn Tigers Over Georgia
Auburn won their second straight game by smacking Texas A&M around in their convincing 42-27 blowout win last weekend while covering the spread as 14.5-point road favorites in the process. Quarterback Jarrett Stidham completed an efficient 20 of 27 passes for 268 yards and three touchdowns while running back Kerryon Johnson rushed for 145 rushing yards and one score. The Tigers added a blocked punt for a touchdown for good measure in the dominating victory.
Georgia Vs Auburn Betting Predictions
For me, I guess I can understand why some people are really high on the 10th-ranked Tigers, but I’m not one of them. While Auburn ranks ninth in points allowed (16.9 ppg) and a very impressive 20th in scoring (36.9 ppg), there’s just something about quarterback Jarrett Stidham that bothers me!
The top-ranked Bulldogs now look like an identical version to perennially-powerful Alabama with a powerful defense that ranks third in points allowed (11.7 ppg) and an equally powerful rushing attack that ranks eighth nationally (279.3 ypg). Georgia is 7-0 ATS in their last 7 road games and 10-1 ATS in their last 11 road games against a team with a winning home record. On the flip side of the coin, Auburn is just 3-4-3 ATS in their last 10 games and 1-5 ATS in their last six meetings against the Bulldogs. For me, Georgia is just too good on both sides of the ball to lose this game. The Dawgs win and cover the chalk in a thriller!
Pick: Georgia -2.5
