How To Bet The Arizona State Vs UCLA LineJosh Bailey
Arizona State was looking for a repeat of last season battle versus USC when they faced the Trojans last weekend. The Sun Devils had beaten USC at USC in 2014. Their QB that day, Mike Bercovici, was the same QB that started last Saturday. He’s the one that threw the Hail Mary pass in 2014.
Unfortunately, the bully that is USC took Arizona State to the woodshed. The Trojans beat ASU 42 to 14. This Saturday, ASU takes on 7th-ranked UCLA. UCLA beat ASU 62 to 27 last season.
Will Arizona State get its revenge? Or, will UCLA put another beating onto the Sun Devils? Should you bet on the Sun Devils at +13? Or should you back the Bruins? Keep reading for answers to those questions and more.

Why Bet On Arizona State to Beat No. 7 UCLA (-13)
Sun Devils need to pick themselves up off the mat, and fast.
UCLA’s defense was seriously hampered last week when linebacker Myles Jack got hurt during practice. Because Jack was declared out for the season, many football handicappers jumped on Arizona. Although that was a mistake, jumping on ASU to upset UCLA this Saturday might not be a mistake.
ASU’s defense is led by QB Mike Bercovici. Bercovici started against UCLA last season. He was very good when passing for 488 yards and 3 touchdowns. He did end up throwing 2 interceptions and UCLA won the game, but Bercovici could be better this time around. Even though he doesn’t have WR Jaelen Strong, he does have other weapons and ASU appears to be a better rushing team this year than they were last year.

If the Sun Devils can control the clock by running the ball against a depleted UCLA defense, they might find a way to perform a close to magical upset. ASU will be looking for revenge. That’s a great motivator.
Why Bet On No. 7 UCLA (-13) to Beat Arizona State
The Bruins have their sights set on the college football playoff.
ASU Coach Todd Graham is known as a defensive wizard. He’s very good at putting together blitz packages for the Arizona State defense. It worked to perfection last season as Arizona State at one time was ranked in the Top 10.
It hasn’t worked so far this season. The Sun Devils gave up 38 points to Texas A&M in their first game. They gave up 42 to USC last Saturday.
The problem that the ASU defense is going to have in this matchup is that UCLA QB Josh Rosen has the ability to beat the blitz. At 6’ 4”, Rosen can see over the defense. He’s already got his two bad games, against UNLV and BYU, out of the way. Expect Rosen to hover around a 70% completion rate from now until the end of the season.
Expectations for true freshmen Josh Rosen are higher than ever, and he still has a lot to prove. http://t.co/CyFX8dIWjK

When Rosen isn’t beating ASU’s blitz, RB Paul Perkins, who rushed for 137 yards off of 14 carries against ASU in last season’s matchup, will beat ASU’s defense with the draw or straight up the gut runs. Either way, ASU is in trouble. My final score prediction is UCLA 56, ASU 33.
