How To Bet the Arkansas Vs Alabama NCAAF Week 6 OddsJosh Bailey
Alabama got a huge statement win last Saturday versus Georgia. By the time they kicked it off, Alabama was actually a one point favorite in a lot of sports books.
It didn’t matter to the Crimson Tide whether or not they were favored. Alabama dominated Georgia in every phase of the game. They beat the Bulldogs 38 to 10. Now, Alabama has to be careful about suffering a letdown to Arkansas, a team that took the Tide to the brink in a 14 to 13 Bama win last season. Will Alabama continue its rise up the rankings?

Why Bet On Arkansas to Beat #8 Alabama (-17)
After beating UTEP at home 48 to 13 in their first game of the season, the Razorbacks lost 3 in a row at home. Arkansas dropped a game to Toledo, 12 to 16, as a -22.5 point favorite. In their third game of the season, the Razorbacks lost to Texas Tech 24 to 35 as a -9.5 point home favorite. They also dropped a game to Texas A&M, 21 to 28 in overtime, as a 6 point home dog.
Arkansas didn’t stop the losing streak until they played in one of the most hostile environments in the country last Saturday. The Razorbacks traveled to Tennessee as a +5.5 point road dog. They beat the Vols 24 to 20 straight up. Maybe, Arkansas is one of those teams that can’t handle the pressure of playing at home. Up until last season’s defeat of the Dallas Cowboys, the New Orleans Saints had lost 6 games in a row in the Superdome. If an NFL team can have trouble winning at home, a college football team can as well.
The Razorbacks played one of their best games of the season last year against Alabama when their defense shut down the Tide’s high-powered offense to 227 total yards and 13 points. If they can play loose in Tuscaloosa, like they did versus Tennessee in their last in Tennessee, Arkansas might have a shot.
Why Bet On #8 Alabama (-17) to Beat Arkansas
Alabama hasn’t shied away from top competition so far this season. The Crimson Tide has already played against Ole Miss and Georgia. Although Ole Miss scored 43 points against the Tide in a 43 to 37 win, for the most part Alabama’s defense has been impenetrable.
Georgia could score only 10 points against Alabama’s defense even though they have one of the top running backs in the nation in Nick Chubb. Arkansas’ offense only averages 25.8 points per game. It’s not good enough to move the ball against an Alabama defense that’s yielding an average of 16 points and 273.4 yards per game.
Alabama is always a tough team to back because they don’t often do enough to cover the spread. In this case, they probably will do enough. My final score prediction is Alabama 34, Arkansas 10.
