You know things are bad when you’re playing at home against a team that has lost three straight games, yet you’re a whopping two-touchdown-plus underdog.
That’s the case for the winless Central Florida Knights as they enter their Week 12 home date against the struggling East Carolina Pirates looking to record their first win of the season.
The college football week 12 odds favor East Carolina by a whopping 15-points to beat Central Florida. Can the Knights pull off the upset or will the Pirates bring home the bacon as huge road favorites?

East Carolina at Central Florida
When: 7:30 PM ET, Thursday, November 19, 2015
Where: Bright House Networks Stadium, Orlando, Florida
Game Odds: East Carolina -15
Bet The East Carolina Pirates at -15 Because…
The Pirates (4-6 SU, 4-6 ATS) have lost three straight games and four of their last five and come into this contest off a narrow 22-17 home loss against surging South Florida on Saturday though they failed to cover the spread as a 5.5-point home favorite.
Quarterback James Summers completed 14 of 22 passes for 158 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions while rushing for 42 yards and two scores on 20 carries, but the Pirates gave up 242 rushing yards and were outgained 442-220 in the humbling loss. East Carolina is ranked 85th in scoring (26.9 ppg) and 81st in points allowed (28.6 ppg).
Bet The Central Florida Knights at +15 Because…
Central Florida (0-10 SU, 2-8 ATS) is coming off a 45-30 smackdown against Tulsa on Saturday, but managed to narrowly cover the spread as a 17-point road dog in the loss.
Quarterback Justin Holman completed 22 of 41 passes for 293 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions but the Knights allowed the Golden Hurricane to rush for a stunning 275 yards in the loss Both teams committed a whopping four turnovers in the mistake-filled affair. The Knights are ranked a pitiful 125th in scoring (15.7 ppg) and equally discouraging 113th in points allowed (36.4 ppg).
Expert Pick & Final Score Prediction
A large 56 percent of the betting public likes Central Florida to cover the spread and that’s just what I’m thinking as well. I know UCF has lost all 10 of its games so far, but I just can’t bring myself to back East Carolina by two touchdowns seeing how poorly they’ve played over their last handful of games.
The Pirates are just 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games and 1-5 ATS in their last six games following an SU loss. Central Florida, on the other hand, has compiled a surprising 4-0 ATS mark over their last four games in the month of November and the home team and underdog in this rivalry have both gone 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings.
The bottom line for me is that East Carolina isn’t good enough to spot anyone 15 points, not even the winless Central Florida Knights.
