How To Bet The LSU Tigers Vs Ole Miss Rebels Line

LSU needs some good luck after suffering 2 straight losses. Alabama shut down LSU’s Heisman Trophy candidate running back in a 30 to 16 win 2 games ago. Then, in the very next game, Arkansas shut down the same Heisman Trophy running back in a 31 to 14 win. It goes without writing that if LSU wants to beat Ole Miss this Saturday, they had better get that running back on track. The college football week 12 betting line favors Ole Miss by 4-points to beat LSU.

The last time we saw the Ole Miss Landshark defense, it gave up 53 points in an overtime loss to the Hogs.

LSU is reeling after two difficult losses to SEC West rivals, Alabama and Arkansas. The loss to BAMA wasn’t a complete surprise, especially since the game was in Tuscaloosa, but last week’s 31-14 home loss to the Razorbacks was a shot to the gut.

“When something goes not as planned, you have to say `I’m accountable and I’m responsible,” head-coach Les Miles said.

LSU’s biggest issue is that their QB, Brandon Harris, just isn’t good enough to win games with his arm. Harris tried to do that against Alabama after the Alabama defensive line held Fournette to 31 yards from 19 carries. Harris went 6 out of 19 for 128 yards a TD and a pick.

Arkansas held Fournette to 91 yards on 19 carries. Harris had a much better game going 21 out of 35 for 271 yards. But, Harris still threw a pick. There’s good news for LSU fans this Sunday, though. The Ole Miss defense allows 125.7 rushing yards per game on average. Arkansas rushed for 163 yards and terrible Auburn rushed for 125.

Fournette, though has scored a TD in every game, totaling 17 scores, and leads the FBS with 1,643 rushing yards.

“I just have to help keep this team together,” the sophomore said. In hard times you see what type of man you are. I would never trade my team for anything in the world.”

The Tigers are 1-3 ATS on the road this season.

Ole Miss has gotten more chances this season than any other team in college football. The Rebels beat Alabama way back in their third game of the season. They jumped into the Top 10 only to lose to Florida 2 games later in a 38 to 10 beat down.

2 games after that they lost to Memphis 24 to 37. For some reason, Ole Miss is still ranked in the Top 25 in the CFP even though they lost their last game to Arkansas 52 to 53. The truth of the matter is that Ole Miss beat Alabama due to a few lucky plays. When facing a better team than them, they fold. Ole Miss will try and beat LSU, but it won’t be easy.

“That’s part of life — being disappointed,” Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze said. “One of the greatest lessons you can learn in life is how do you handle that? They’re being tested with that just like we’ve been.”

Ole Miss must win its last two games against LSU and Mississippi State and then Alabama has to lose to Auburn in the Iron Bowl on Nov. 28 for the Rebels to capture the Western Division title.

Rebels QB Chad Kelly, who leads the SEC with 3,224 yards passing and 23 touchdowns, said there is still plenty of motivation to win, even if the college football playoff is out of the picture.

“If you can’t refocus after a bye week and get amped up for the next game then you’re playing the wrong sport,” Kelly said. “I know our guys are ready to get back and ready to hit somebody.”

Expert Pick & Final Score Prediction

Ole Miss has to play their best game of the season in order to shut down Fournette. Fournette is raring to go and Coach Les Miles knows that he has to be Ole Miss in order to get back the confidence of the LSU alumni. My final score prediction is LSU 38, Ole Miss 35.

My Pick: LSU by a field-goal
