Navy has been impressive so far in 2015. The best of the Armed Forces football programs is undefeated both straight up and against the spread. In Navy’s last game they beat Air Force, a decent team, 33 to 11.
Notre Dame almost pulled off the upset against Top 10 ranked Clemson last Saturday. In the middle of a driving rain, the Irish came back from a 21 to 3 deficit after 3 quarters to cut the lead to 22 to 24. For some reason, the Irish decided to run the ball for the 2-point conversion instead of throwing the football. They ended up losing that game. The Irish will try and bounce back versus a tough Navy squad this Saturday.

Why Bet On Navy to Beat Notre Dame (-14.5)
The boys from Annapolis are are one of 20 undegeated Div 1 games.
Notre Dame’s offense isn’t nearly as effective with QB Deshone Kizer under center as it was with Malik Zaire. The problem for Kizer is that since he’s a freshman, he doesn’t always see the entire field.
He’ll learn how to do that. Once he does, Notre Dame is going to start rolling through teams like they did when beating Texas 38 to 3 in Week 1. The question in regards to this game is whether the light bulb will go off in Kizer’s head or not. If it doesn’t, and he continues to sit with his eyes on a single target, there’s a good chance that Navy’s defense could come up big and force Kizer into errant throws like what Clemson did to him during the first half of that game.
Running back C.J. Prosise might find things easier against a Navy front that’s allowing only 147 rushing yards per game than he did versus Clemson’s defensive line. The Midshipmen are probably going to accept their poison. They allowed Air Force to rush for 204 yards, but they yielded only 11 points to the Falcons.

Why Bet On Notre Dame (-14.5) to Beat Navy
The Irish need to win the rest of the season to have a prayer at the NCAAF playoff.
Like Air Force and Army, Navy’s offense is designed around rushing the football. The Navy offense passes for only 66.2 yards per game. The offense rushes for an incredible 339.8 yards per game. Navy’s rushing attack is ranked third in the nation. Versus Colgate, Navy rushed for 371 yards. Against Eastern Carolina, Navy rushed for an amazing 415 yards. Versus Connecticut the Midshipmen rushed for 303 yards and in their last game against Air Force, Navy rushed for 270 yards and a 5.3 per carry average.
Any time the Midshipmen get their rushing game going, they’re going to be tough to beat. But the Notre Dame defense is one of the best in the nation.
Notre Dame’s D has played some top rushing teams in the past, including Georgia Tech’s, and it’s been stout. The Irish, like it always seems to do with Brian Kelly as coach, will bounce back from last week’s lost to Clemson. My final score prediction is Notre Dame 35, Navy 17.
