Illinois Vs Ohio State Spread & ATS PickJosh Bailey
Can No. 8 Ohio State Cover Huge Spread Against Big ten Rival Illinois in Week 12 Conference Clash?
The eighth-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes rebounded from their humiliating Week 10 blowout loss and they likely won’t have any problem getting past mediocre Illinois when they host the Fighting Illini in Week 12. The big question that college football bettors need answered is whether or not the Buckeyes can cover the Week 12 college football betting spread as insane, nearly six touchdown home favorites.

What You Need To Know If You Are Betting Illinois
Illinois has lost seven straight and comes into their Week 12 matchup against Ohio State off a humbling 24-14 loss against Indiana last weekend, although they did narrowly manage to cover the spread as 10.5-point home underdogs. Still, the Fighting Illini have been limited to 14 points or less in three straight games while putting up 17 points or less in six of their last seven losses.
What You Need To Know If You Are Betting Ohio State
Ohio State ran roughshod all over Michigan State this past weekend, winning 48-3 over the Spartans as quarterback J.T. Barrett passed for two touchdowns and ran for two more to lead the way to victory. Running back Mike Weber added two rushing scores on the day, but it should be noted that Barrett also tossed two interceptions in the win and has thrown six interceptions over his last three games overall. Ohio State’s defense was nothing short of phenomenal in limiting Michigan State to just 64 rushing yards while recording two interceptions in the win.
Illinois Vs Ohio State ATS Pick
While the Buckeyes looked like a legitimate national championship contender in their emphatic win over Michigan State in Week 11, I still can’t get their stunning 55-24 blowout Week 10 loss against Iowa out of my mind, which makes me not have any trust in Ohio State whatsoever. Apparently, I’m not alone either, with 47 percent of the betting public backing the Fighting Illini to cover the spread as nearly 40-point underdogs in this contest.
I know Illinois has gone an awful 1-5 ATS in their last six road games and just 3-7 ATS in their last 10 conference games, but be forewarned. Ohio State is just 1-5 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings against Illinois. I seriously don’t trust the Buckeyes and you shouldn’t either!
