Kansas Vs TCU Line & Betting Predictions

Does Awful Kansas Team Have Shot to Cover Insane Spread At Unbeaten No. 4 TCU?

The Kansas Jayhawks are absolutely awful – there’s just no other way to say it!

The TCU Horned Frogs look like a legitimate national championship title contender right now.

Things are bad when you’re a five-touchdown plus road underdog and people are wondering whether or not you can cover the spread. Let’s find out if the Jayhawks have what it takes to do just that in their Week 8 Big 12 battle against the unbeaten Horned Frogs.

TCU will host Kansas on Saturday live from Amon Carter Stadium at 3:30 PM ET with this matchup airing live on FOX TV.

Line: TCU Horned Frogs -37.5

Why Bet the Kansas Jayhawks Line at +37.5

The Jayhawks got absolutely embarrassed in their 45-0 shutout loss last weekend against red-hot Iowa State as quarterbacks Peyton bender and Carter Stanley combined to go 11-for-26 for just 44 passing yards with one interception. Kansas lost the turnover battle 2-0 and the time of possession battle by nearly 14 minutes while allowing Iowa State 38 points through three quarters before calling off the dogs in the final stanza. This season, Bender is completing just 55.2 percent of his passes for 1,391 yards, eight touchdowns, and nine interceptions. Bender has thrown four interceptions in his last three games and just two TD passes. Kansas averages a modest 24.7 points per game (93rd) while allowing a whopping 44.8 points per contest defensively to rank a dismal 129th nationally.

Why Bet the TCU Horned Frogs Line at -37.5

The Horned Frogs had their hands full against Kansas State last weekend but managed to remain unbeaten by recording a hard-fought 26-6 win to cover the spread as a 7.5-point road favorite. Quarterback Kenny Hill threw for 297 yards and while he didn’t throw a touchdown pass, he did add one rushing score in the win while running back Sewo Olonilua added a pair of rushing scores to lead TCU to the win.

Defensively, the Horned Frogs limited a solid K-State team to one field goal in the second and third quarters while limiting the Wildcats to just 70 rushing yards and 146 passing yards. This season, TCU averages an impressive 41.3 points per game (11th) while limiting the opposition to just 17.3 points per contest to rank 17th nationally. Hill has been outstanding in completing 69.8 percent of his passes for 1,450 yards with 10 TD passes and a modest three interceptions.

Kansas Vs TCU Betting Predictions

Normally, I say stay away from any point spread this high, but not this time as I fully expect TCU to lay a huge smackdown on pitiful Kansas in this contest.

Not only are the Jayhawks 16-34-1 ATS in their last 51 road games, but they’re also just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Horned Frogs might be a winless 0-11 ATS in their last 11 home games and awful 6-13 ATS in their last 19 games overall, but this season, Kansas is especially awful and I can easily see TCU duplicating Iowa State 45-0 win over the Jayhawks last weekend. Kansas hasn’t won a road game in eight years and stands no chance of either winning or covering the spread in this Week 8 Big 12 matchup.

Pick: TCU -37.5
