Michigan rolled all over reeling BYU to win 31-0 and easily cash in as a 7-point favorite. The Wolverines put a season-high 448 yards of offense on the banged-up, previously, 22nd-ranked Cougars. Michigan senior quarterback Jake Rudock completed 14 of 25 passes for 194 yards and added 33 yards and two touchdowns. Michigan has shutout its opponents in 10 of their last 12 quarters while allowing just one touchdown over the last nine quarters.

Maryland got smacked around like a punching bag in their humbling 45-6 Week 4 loss to West Virginia while never coming close to covering the spread as a 17-point underdog.
Backup quarterback Daxx Garman replaced starter Caleb Rowe in the third quarter after Rowe tossed a whopping four interceptions. Garman led Maryland to its only score of the game by tossing a 46-yard touchdown strike to Jarvis Davenport. Rowe finished 10-of-27 for 67 yards while Garman went 4-for-9 for 86 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
Running back Brandon Ross picked up 130 rushing yards on 15 carries for Maryland but lost a costly fumble out of the back of the end zone following a 55-yard run in the second quarter.

55 percent of the betting public likes Michigan to cover the spread as two-touchdown-plus road favorites and so do I after watching Maryland look absolutely incompetent on offense in their last game.
Michigan is really starting to come together under head coach Jim Harbaugh and I believe the former Stanford and San Francisco 49ers head coach could have his alma mater in legitimate national championship contention as early as next season.
The Wolverines are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record while Maryland has gone 0-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record.
