Can Reeling No. 9 Notre Dame Rebound to Cover Chalk Against Navy in Week 12?
After taking an ass whooping of epic proportions last weekend, the big question that college football bettors need answered is whether or not the now, ninth-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish can bounce back to get the win and cover the chalk against the Navy Midshipmen when they host their annual foes in Week 12?
Navy Vs Notre Dame Spread & ATS Pick
Navy Midshipmen (6-3) at Notre Dame Fighting Irish (8-2)
When: Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 3:30 PM ET

NCAAF Odds: Notre Dame -17.5
After watching Miami slap Notre Dame around like a bunch of high schoolers last weekend, the Navy Midshipmen are shooting for their own upset against the Irish this coming weekend. Navy managed to snap a three-game skid and get past SMU 43-40 in a high-scoring shootout as quarterback Malcolm Perry rushed for an insane 282 yards and four touchdowns on 33 carries. Running back Anthony Gargiulo rushed 15 times for an additional 145 yards and one score and Navy got the win despite throwing just one pass, which was intercepted.
Notre Dame got beat up and down and all around in their completely embarrassing 41-8 blowout loss against now, second-ranked Miami last weekend as quarterback Brandon Wimbush was limited to 10 for 19 passing with one TD but two costly interceptions before being replaced. The Irish committed four turnovers in the loss.
While everyone’s down on Notre Dame right now and I agree, that their College Football Playoff hopes are shot, I like them to rebound in a big way in this contest even though a whopping 65 percent of the betting public likes Navy to cover the chalk.
The Midshipmen lost their three previous games before winning last weekend and in particular, it was their 34-26 loss against Temple two weeks ago that leads me to believe that the ticked off Irish are going to take all of their frustration out on them in this Week 12 matchup.
Navy is 2-0-2 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record, but the Midshipmen are also just 1-3-2 ATS in their last six road games against a team with a winning home record and 1-4 ATS in their last five games against Independents.
Despite their Week 11 spanking, Notre Dame has gone 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games against a team with a winning road record and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 non-conference games. Get last week’s loss out of your head. The Fighting Irish win and cover the chalk!
ATS Pick: Notre Dame -17.5
