Bet on Nebraska (+17) Because…
The Cornhuskers’ defense has come together. Nebraska’s defense has given up 20 points or more only 3 times this season. The D has held Wyoming to 17, Northwestern to 13, Illinois to 16 and Purdue to 14 this year. That’s playing great defense. Even though Wisconsin scored 23 in a 17 to 23 Nebraska loss on Oct. 29, the Badgers scored over 20 point in overtime.
Bet on Ohio State (-17) Because…
It’s time for Ohio State to start playing great football again. The Buckeyes are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games. They only beat Indiana 38 to 17 on Oct. 8. On Oct. 15, they scraped by 30 to 23 as a -10 favorite. Versus Penn State, they lost 21 to 24 straight up as a -17.5 favorite. The Buckeyes could only beat Northwestern by 4 points at home as a -25.5 favorite in a 24 to 20 win. Isn’t it time that Ohio State beat someone up well enough to cover the spread in a game?
Expert Pick & Final Score Prediction
It may be time for Ohio State to score a lot of points. But I don’t think it’s going to happen versus Nebraska. The Cornhuskers’ defense is impressive. In fact, the entire team is impressive.
It only took Mike Riley a year to bring Nebraska back to national prominence. He’s easily one of the best coaches in college football. Could Ohio State blow out Nebraska? Sure, they could.
My gut tells me, though, that the Buckeyes have been a paper tiger, that Urban Meyer has been keeping this thing together with silly string and gum. I believe that Ohio State not only doesn’t cover ATS, but that they also lose straight up.
Forget the Week 10 college football odds. Bet on Nebraska to win straight up.
