Ohio State has looked like the best team in the nation in 2 straight up and ATS wins this season. The Buckeyes covered a -27.5-point spread against Bowling Green in Week 1. In Week 2, the Buckeyes were a -28 points spread against Tulsa. Oklahoma lost straight up to Houston as a -13-point favorite in Week 1 before only beating ULM by 42 points as a -46-point favorite in Week 2. Oklahoma is 1 and 1 SU but 0 and 2 ATS.

Bet on Ohio State Because…

Ohio State’s offense can’t be stopped. The offense starts with brilliant QB J.T. Barrett. Barrett threw 6 touchdown passes to go along with 349 yards against Bowling Green in Week 1. He also rushed for 30 yards and a TD from 6 carries. Ohio State beat Bowling Green 77 to 10. In Week 2 versus Tulsa, Barrett only threw for 149 yards. But he rushed for 55 yards and scored 2 touchdowns with his legs. Ohio State beat Tulsa 48 to 6.

Bet on Oklahoma Because…

Oklahoma’s Baker Mayfield can be just as solid as Barrett on any given day. The Sooners faced one of the better defenses in college football when they took on Houston in Week 1. Mayfield wasn’t bad in that game. He was great versus ULM. He passed for 244 yards when completing 14 out of 20 passes. He threw 3 touchdown passes.

Expert Pick & Final Score Prediction

The problem that Oklahoma has in this game is being able to stop J.T. Barrett and Ohio State’s offense. That’s just not going to happen. Ohio State can move the ball and score points as well as any team in the nation.

Oklahoma’s offense is good. But it faces a defense that’s allowed 13 total points in 2 games. Ohio State and Urban Meyer have brought the Big Ten back to prominence. The rest of the nation is going to found out how prominent on Saturday when Ohio State has no trouble putting a beat down on Oklahoma in a major road game.

My final score prediction is Ohio State 38, Oklahoma 24.
