This year, Oregon is playing to keep its Top 4 ranking in the College Football Playoff. The Ducks have to play either UCLA, or ASU or Arizona in the Pac 12 Championship after this game, but make no mistake; Oregon knows that Oregon State always plays tough in the Civil War.

Analyzing The Oregon Ducks Vs Oregon State Beavers Online Football Odds
Since getting healthy along the offensive line, Oregon has been one of the best teams both straight up and against the spread in the nation. The Ducks started out the season 4 and 0 but only 1 and 3 against the spread. A stunning 24 to 31 loss to Arizona in Autzen is the only straight up blemish on the record. Since that loss, Oregon has won 6 straight games. They’ve also gone 6 and 0 against the spread.
The Ducks offense remains one of the most efficient and talented in all of college football. The Ducks, led by likely Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariotta, is averaging 537.2 yards and 45.8 points per game. Mariotta has been unbelievable this season. He’s thrown 32 touchdowns to only 2 interceptions and he’s rushed for 597 yards and 9 touchdowns.
The Oregon defense really isn’t all that great, though. It gives up 435.7 yards and about 24 points per game. The defense plays a bend but don’t break style that depends on the offense to score a ton of points so that Oregon can relax in a cover two and just try and prevent touchdowns. The defense doesn’t really lock down anybody although it did look good when holding Colorado to 10 points in Oregon’s last game, a 44 to 10 win.
Oregon State will try and take advantage of Oregon’s defense with an offense that’s averaging 396 yards and 26 points per game. Oregon State only rushes for 115 yards per game. That’s not a good sign because the Beavers will be in trouble unless they chew up clock and keep Mariotta and the rest of the Ducks’ offense on the sidelines.
Oregon State’s defense could get rocked in this one. The Ducks allowed Washington, a team that’s not close to being as talented as Oregon, to gain 481 yards and score 37 points.
The online football odds trends make Oregon a winner against the spread. The Ducks are 4 and 0 against the spread in the last 4 meetings in Corvallis and the Beavers are 1 and 4 against the spread versus a team with a winning record.
Oregon is just too difficult of a team for Oregon State to stick with. The Ducks are incredibly talented and Oregon State doesn’t have the two elements that a team needs in order to keep it close against the Ducks, a good defense and a great rushing attack. Oregon should roll again to make it 7 and 0 ATS in their last 7 games.
