College Football Week 1 Over-Under Predictions

Over/Under Picks College Football Week 8

Sometimes finding a winning ATS pick can be ulcer-inducing. During those periods of time, you should take a look at football game totals. And to that end, I have a trio of Over/Under betting picks for College Football Week 8 action.

Over/Under Picks College Football Week 8

Colorado at #7 Washington
When: Saturday, Oct. 20 at 3:30 pm ET
Where: Husky Stadium, Seattle, WA
Game Total: 51½

Analysis: Both Colorado and Washington head into Week 8 after losses. Washington dropped their second game of the season in an overtime loss to Oregon. Colorado dropped their first game of the season when losing to USC.

Only the Huskies should have huge success in this game, which means it’s going to be difficult for over bettors to cash. Washington averages 28.9 points per game. The Huskies allow less than 17 points on average.

Colorado got it going late against USC. Washington coach Chris Petersen saw how the Trojans shut down the Buffalos’ offense in the first half. Playing this one under.

Week 8 Over/Under Pick: Under 55.5-points

#8 Penn State at Indiana
When: Saturday, Oct. 20 at 3:30 pm ET
Where: Memorial Stadium, Bloomington, IN
Odds: 61

Analysis: Penn State lost it’s second straight after Michigan State upset the Nittany Lions 21-17 in Week 7. The Lions must now fight to make it to a New Year’s Day Bowl. Penn State does average 44.2 points per game, though, which means the Nittany Lions might take out their frustrations on Indiana.

The Hoosiers allowed Iowa to blast it for 42 points in a huge 42-16 loss in Week 7. It’s hard to see Indiana putting up much of a fight in this. I am picking the over in this tilt.

Week 8 Over/Under Pick: Over 61-points

#24 Mississippi State at #13 LSU
When: Saturday, Oct. 20 at 7:00 pm ET
Where: Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge, LA
Odds: 44½

Analysis: Mississippi State and LSU should play a close, low-scoring game on Saturday, Oct. 20, right? After all, Miss State’s defense allows 12.7 points per game, tops in college football, while LSU’s allows 16.9 points per, ranking 17th in the nation.

But, LSU scores 32 points per. The Tigers head into this battle with Mississippi State after hanging 36 onto the Georgia Bulldogs in one of the most impressive wins by any team this season. LSU should score enough to get the over.

Week 8 Over/Under Pick: Over 44.5-points
