Over/Under Picks Rivalry Week

It’s time for family, food and football and this week it is rivalry week in colligate football. If you can’t find an ATS college football bet you like, may I suggest you bet on a college football game total. And you are in luck because I have a trio of over/under picks for Week 13 of College Football.

Over/Under Picks Rivalry Week

Virginia at Virginia Tech
When: Friday, Nov. 23 at 3:30 pm ET
Where: Lane Stadium, Blacksburg, VA
Stream: Watch ESPN
Total Points: 50

Analysis: Odds makers should have a hard time setting an over/under total when the Virginia Cavaliers travel to Blacksburg to take on the rival Virginia Tech Hokies. Both teams have decent defenses, but both teams have played in over games lately.

Virginia Tech beat Virginia 10-0 in last season’s rivalry game. This season could be the exact opposite. Hokies’ games have gone 2-1-1 to the over in their last 4. The over is 8-0 in Virginia’s last 8 after allowing less than 170 yards passing in the previous game.

The over is also 4-1-1 ATS in Virginia Tech’s last 6 games following a double-digit loss at home.

Pick: Over 50

Oregon at Oregon State
When: Friday, Nov. 23 at 4:00 pm ET
Where: Reser Stadium, Corvallis, OR
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Total Points: 68½

Analysis: You’d think the Oregon Ducks would play in a lot of over games. This season, that hasn’t been the case. The over’s only 5-6 overall and 2-2 in the Ducks’ away games. The over is 8-3 in Oregon State’s games, though.

The over is 12-3 in the last 15 Oregon State Beaver games. The over’s also gone 10-2 in Oregon State’s last 12 after a straight up loss and 9-3 on Oregon State’s last 12 conference games. The real kicker is how the Civil War, the battle between Oregon and Oregon State, has gone over 13 times in the last 16 meetings.

Pick: Over 68½

#4 Michigan at #10 Ohio State
When: Saturday, Nov. 24 at 12:00 pm ET
Where: Ohio Stadium, Columbus, OH
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Total Points: 57

Analysis: Michigan has been blowing teams out, which is why even though the Wolverines allow less than 14 points per game, the over is 4-2 in Michigan’s last 6. The Wolverines are one of the hottest teams in college football.

They could score close to 40 points against a bad Ohio State defense on Saturday. The Buckeyes are one of the few teams that might reach 20 points. This one looks like it should be a defensive battle. It won’t be.

Pick: Over 57
