Pac-12 is in disbelief over what’s going on at USC

Arizona Wildcats vs. USC Trojans

The Wildcats are coming into this game having won only once against the Trojans in the last 3 seasons and they have no intentions of losing again, trying to take advantage of the mayhem that’s going on in Southern California after the Trojans fired their head coach just three games into the season, they have shown problems all over the fields and on both sides of the ball. The Wildcats have looked good so far but are coming off a blowout loss to 19th ranked Washington. I expect the Wildcats to bounce back and make a statement in this game.

Arizona has proven that year after year they have the talent to stay with these top ranked schools but as the season goes on they seem to fatigue quickly and buckle under the pressure. This season they have the 8th ranked running attack led by Ka’Deem Carey who has carried the ball 73 times for 431 yards and 5 scores, he is also a great blocker for QB BJ Denker who has not had the best throwing year so far completing only 45 of his 90 throws for a total of 445 yards and 2 scores. The Wildcats will have to really commit to their defense especially in the rush the QB plays.

USC is off the plain, they seem lost on the field with line up issues on defense and the most offensive penalties in the Pac-12 conference. They need to really slow things down and go back to the easy stuff that works ground and pound football with quick slain routes to get their receivers a little momentum. QB Cody Kessler has gone for 832 yards on 63.5% throwing with 6 touchdowns to go along with his 4 picks. This team needs to find a way to protect the ball into the right hands quickly; defensively they are struggling and need to come together as a team to close the holes that expose them over the middle of the field.

What to Expect:

The Wildcats are in a great spot to get a little revenge on a hurting team that has embarrassed them in the past, I expect the score to get run up if the opportunity presents itself and USC will just have too many issues on defense to get any real stops down the stretch of the game. My opinion in this game is to take the Wildcats; they will come out of this one on top.
