Post Chirstmas College Football Bowl Season Parlay Picks

Christmas is behind us and the marquee bowl games of the season are on the horizon. My final college football bowl parlay picks are all about mismatches. Both of the semifinals seem to be tough games although I did put Clemson at +5 in my bonus 6-team parlay pick. The bowl games that make up my parlay picks are the Liberty Bowl, the Taxslayer Bowl and the Citrus Bowl. Keep reading to find out why I like teams in those three bowl games.

College Football Bowl Game 2-Team Parlay Pick

  • Arkansas -13
  • No. 25 Georgia -6.5

What: Autozone Liberty Bowl
Who: Kansas State Wildcats (6-6) at Arkansas Razorbacks (7-5)
When: Saturday, January 2, 2016
Kickoff: 3:20 PM ET
Where: Memphis, TN
Stadium: Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium
Spread: Arkansas -13
Moneyline: Kansas State +325 vs Arkansas -450
Game Total: 59
Watch: ESPN

Listen: Kansas State vs Arkansas

Analysis: Arkansas should have no trouble covering a -13 point spread against Kansas State on Jan. 2. Kansas State ended their season on a three game winning streak, but the teams that they beat were Iowa State, Kansas and West Virginia. Arkansas finished their season winning 5 out of their last 6 games. The Razorbacks beat Ole Miss and LSU on the road. What’s more impressive is that Arkansas went 6 and 2 ATS in their final 8 games and scored 50 points or more in 4 out of their final 6. Arkansas rolls.

Pick: Arkansas

What: Taxslayer Bowl
Who: Penn State Nittany Lions (7-5) at Georgia Bulldogs (9-3)
When: Saturday, January 2, 2016
Kickoff: 12:00 PM ET
Where: Jacksonville, FL
Stadium: EverBank Field
Spread: Georgia -6.5
Moneyline: Penn State +220 vs Georgia -260
Game Total: 41.5
Watch: ESPN

Listen: Penn State vs Georgia

Analysis: Georgia played very well at times during the regular season. The Bulldogs won 5 out of their final 6 games straight up. More importantly, this will be Georgia players’ first chance to impress new coach Kirby Smart. Smart built the incredible defenses at Alabama the past few years. Make no mistake that Smart will be watching this game. Expect Georgia to come out swinging. Penn State ended their regular season going 1 and 5 ATS in their final 6 games. The Nittany Lions also lost their final 3 games of the season. Like Arkansas, Georgia is an SEC team that should roll over a team from a weaker conference.

Pick: Georgia -6.5

College Football Bowl Game 3-Team Parlay Pick

  • Arkansas -13
  • No. 25 Georgia -6.5
  • No. 17 Michigan -4

What: Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl
Who: No.14 Michigan Wolverines (9-3) at No. 19 Florida Gators (10-3)
When: Friday, January 1, 2016
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Where: Orlando, FL
Stadium: Florida Citrus Bowl
Spread: Michigan -3.5
Moneyline: Michigan -188 vs Florida +155
Game Total: 41
Watch: ABC
Stream: Watch ESPN
Listen: Michigan vs Florida

Analysis: One team from the powerful SEC that doesn’t figure to play all that well on New Year’s Day is Florida. Florida’s defense is one of the best in the nation. It allows an average of 295.4 total yards and 16.5 points per game. But the Gators offense is atrocious. The problem for Florida is that unless the running game is going, the offense won’t move the football. QB Treon Harris is ridiculously bad. You have to expect that Michigan Coach Jim Harbaugh put in some nice blitz packages for the Wolverines in this game. Harbaugh’s quarterback, Jake Rudock, completed 64% of his passes during the regular season. Harbaugh’s guys win the Citrus Bowl and cover the spread.

Pick: Michigan
