Bet The Georgia Bulldogs +7 Because…
Georgia (3-0 SU, 1-2 ATS) got past Missouri in its 28-27 Week 3 win but failed to cover the spread as a 7-point favorite just as I predicted last week.
Quarterback Jason Eason completed 29 of an insane 55 pass attempts for 308 yards with one touchdown and one interception but gifted running back Nick Chubb was limited to just 63 rushing yards on 19 carries. Wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie caught 10 passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns in the win while the Bulldogs defense forced three interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
Bet The Ole Miss Rebels -7 Because…
Ole Miss (1-2 SU, 1-2 ATS) is coming off a heartbreaking 48-43 loss against No. 1 Alabama in Saturday but managed to cover the spread as a 10-point home dog as quarterback Chad Kelly completed 26 of 41 passes for 421 yards with three touchdowns and one interception.
Kelly also lost two costly fumbles against the Tide but almost led the Rebels to a stupendous comeback after blowing a big early lead.
Wide receiver Evan Engram caught nine passes for 138 yards and one score in the loss and the Rebels defense forced three Alabama fumbles although they recovered just one.
Expert Pick & Final Score Prediction
Georgia may be unbeaten this season and they may also be 4-1 ATS in their last five road games, but for me, Ole Miss is far and away the better – and far more explosive tem in this Week 4 SEC showdown.
Georgia has looked mostly pedestrian this season and narrowly avoided a huge upset loss a week ago by squeaking past tiny Nicholls State 26-24 despite being a whopping 52.5-point home favorite.
Not only has Ole Miss won 11 of their last 16 games overall, but the Rebels are also 4-2 ATS in their last 6 games. I say the Bulldogs suffer their first loss of the season while failing to cover the spread.
