It may be tough to find a sloppy college football betting spread as we hit Week 3 of College Football but if you are looking for a straight-up moneyline upset you’ve come to the right place.
College Football Week 3 Straight Up Moneyline Upset Alerts
NC State at West Virginia +220
Sure, NC State is 2-0. The Wolfpack beat Eastern Carolina and Western Carolina. They don’t play a “Carolina” in this matchup while West Virginia beat James Madison, one of the best FCS teams this year, in Week 1. The Mounties can pull off the upset.
Pick: West Virginia
TCU at Purdue +110
TCU’s lone victory was 39-7 over Arkansas Pine-Bluff. Purdue barely lost to Nevada on the road, 31-34, before beating Vanderbilt at home. Although TCU might be the better team, the Boilermakers get the edge because they play this one in Indiana. Purdue takes this.
Florida State +245 at Virginia
Yep, that’s FSU who beat UL-Monroe 45-44. So, why take Florida State over a tough Virginia squad on the road even though they’ve proven how awful they are? Willie Taggert isn’t this bad of a football coach. The Seminoles’ defense is much better than this…right? FSU will get it together, eventually. Why not on Saturday?
Pick: Florida State
Ohio +180 at Marshall
Marshall’s defense looked great in the 14-7 loss to Boise State. They played hard in that game. Ohio could catch Marshall napping after such a mighty effort. Not only that, but the Bobcats, even though they lost by 10, looked good on the road versus Pittsburgh in Week 2.
East Carolina +235 at Navy
After the loss to NC State, the Pirates bounced back with a nice 48-9 win over Webber State. We get it. Navy is a better team than Webber State. East Carolina is a better team than what they showed in the Week 1 loss to the Wolfpack. Pirates raid the Midshipmen.
Pick: East Carolina
Maryland at Temple +245
Maryland dropped 63 points onto Syracuse in a crazy blowout victory in their last. But, the ‘Cuse face Clemson this Saturday, which means they were absolutely looking past the Terps. Temple is a good football team, one that plays tough defense, and they’re at home.
Texas Tech at Arizona +110
The Red Raiders have played defense so far in their first couple of games. But check out who they played against? Montana State and UTEP. Arizona will score at will. So will Texas Tech. Take the home dog to score just enough more for the win.
