Upset Picks College Football Week 13Josh Bailey
With the 2017 college football regular season winding down and the ensuing start of conference championship tournament play following quickly thereafter, it’s time for another round of bankroll-boosting upset picks that could help you cash in big!
Upset Picks College Football Week 13
Three intriguing matchups highlight my trio of Week 13 upset picks, so let’s get down to it!
Louisville Cardinals (7-4) at Kentucky Wildcats (7-4)
When: 12:00 PM ET, Saturday, November 25, 2017
Where: Commonwealth Stadium, Lexington, Kentucky
Odds: Louisville 10
Lamar Jackson and the Louisville Cardinals have won two straight and three of their last four games overall including their 56-10 rout over Syracuse last weekend, but I’m going to urge you to go with the 56 percent of public bettors that like Stephen Johnson and Kentucky in this Governor’s Cup rivalry.
the Wildcats have alternated SU wins and losses over their last six games and got smacked around badly by Georgia in Saturday’s 42-13 rout, but Kentucky has recorded some really quality wins this season conference rivals like South Carolina, Missouri and I believe this in-state matchup against Louisville will be the icing on top of their 2017 cake.
After snapping a five-game losing streak last year, I like Kentucky for the outright upset again to make it two in a row in this rivalry matchup.
Upset Pick Week 13: Kentucky 38 Louisville 35
Did You Know that Iowa State and Kansas State have played every year since 1917, making it the eighth-longest continuous series in college football history?
Iowa State Cyclones (7-4) at Kansas State Wildcats (6-5)
When: 3:30 PM ET, Saturday, November 25, 2017
Where: Bill Snyder Family Stadium, Manhattan, Kansas
Odds: Kansas State -3
First, let me get started by saying, I just love the name of this rivalry contest…Farmageddon!
While I’m a huge Bill Snyder guy and I called ATS cover in their stunning 45-40 win over Oklahoma State last weekend, I’m thinking the Wildcats are going down at home in Week 13 against Iowa State. K-State has won three of four and that Iowa State dropped two straight before getting past Baylor 23-13 in an ugly affair last weekend, but the Cyclones have one of the best defenses in the country this season and I think they’re ready to finish off their regular season with a big, confidence-boosting win in this one.
With Iowa State going 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings against K-State and a near-perfect 4-0-1 ATS in their last five road games, I like the Cyclones to nab the outright upset win in this one.
Upset Pick Week 13: Iowa State 27 K-State 24
Did You Know that the NCAA has certified the Territorial Cup as the oldest rivalry trophy in college football history? It was created 118 years ago and the two schools have met every year since 1946.
Arizona Wildcats (7-4) at Arizona State Sun Devils (6-5)
When: 4:30 PM ET, Saturday, November 25, 2017
Where: Sun Devil Stadium, Tempe, Arizona
Odds: Arizona State PK
Arizona got humbled by its 48-28 loss to mediocre Oregon this past weekend. Arizona State pounded pitiful Oregon State 40-24 on Saturday to improve to 2-2 over its last four games. Still, there’s a reason why 57 percent of public bettors like Arizona to cover the chalk by getting the outright road win in this year’s Territorial Cup matchup and I think it’s mostly because of the jaw-dropping play of Wildcats dual-threat superstar quarterback Khalil Tate. While Arizona’s defense allows 2.0 points per game more than Arizona State’s the Wildcats also average just shy of 12 points per game more than their in-state and Pac-12 conference rivals, mostly because of their gifted signal-caller.
While the home team in this age-old rivalry has gone 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings, Arizona is a perfect 5-0 ATS in their last five games following an ATS loss and an unblemished 4-0 ATS in their last four games following an SU loss. I like the Wildcats to get the outright road win behind another fantastic effort from the gifted Khalil Tate!
