Utah Vs Washington Spread & ATS PickSportbet.com Staff
Can No. 16 Washington Bounce Back to Beat Utah and Cover Big Spread in Week 12 Conference Clash?
After suffering a devastating upset loss last weekend that ruined their chances of making consecutive appearances in the College Football Playoff, 16th-ranked Washington will look to bounce back in a big way when they host the Utah Utes in Week 12. Now, let’s find out if the Huskies can cover the chalk as two-touchdown plus home favorites.
Utah Vs Washington Spread & ATS Pick
Utah Utes (5-5) at No. 16 Washington Huskies (8-2)
When: 10:30 PM ET, Saturday, November 18, 2017
Where: Husky Stadium, Seattle, Washington
Spread: Washington -17.5
The Utah Utes dropped to 5-5 on the season after falling to No. 19 Washington State last weekend while never coming close to covering the college football betting spread as a 1-point home underdog. The Utes gave up 311 passing yards and three TD passes to Washington State star Luke Falk while committing a whopping seven turnovers on three Tyler Huntley interceptions, another from backup Troy Williams in his only pass attempt and three lost fumbles. Utah has was also held to just 62 rushing yards in the loss while falling for the fifth time in their last six games.
16th-ranked Washington was on the wrong end of a surprising 30-22 road loss at Stanford last weekend that gave them their second loss of the season and effectively killed any hopes they had of reaching the CFP after doing so last season as a one-loss team. The Huskies got 120 rushing yards and three scores from running back Myles Gaskin but Washington’s normally stout defense gave up 166 rushing yards and three touchdowns to Stanford star running back Bryce Love and never got a touchdown pass from star quarterback Luke Falk in the devastating loss.
While the Huskies let me down in a big way last weekend, that’s also the reason I like them to bounce back and lay a huge smackdown on Utah in Week 12. Not only have the Utes lost five of their last six games but they got blown out of the water by at least 20 points in two of those defeats. The Utes are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games and 5-1-1 ATS in their L/7 games against a team with a winning record, but Washington is a perfect 4-0 ATS in their last four games following an ATS loss and a near-perfect 5-1 ATS in their last six home games. While a whopping 63 percent of public bettors like the Utes to cover the chalk, I’m expecting the Washington Huskies to find a way to win and cover the spread in this one!
