Why Bet The Tennessee Volunteers To Beat The Gators
The Vols are 2-0 after wins over Georgia Tech (in double overtime) and Indiana State, but there is plenty of room for improvement, coach Butch Jones said.
"It was a great way to start," Tennessee coach Butch Jones said. "We talked about starting fast, and obviously we were able to start fast."
Junior RB John Kelly (37 car, 208 yards, 4 TDs) is the centerpiece of the Voffense. He only posted 80 rushing yards against Indiana State, but as long as he is in the backfield, defenses need to be aware of where he is. Remember Florida allowed a combined 215 rushing yards from Michigan two weeks ago.
Why Bet The Florida Gators To Beat The Volunteers
Florida lost one home game due to Hurricane Irma.
Will it won’t lose another? Or can the Gators overcome the post Irma mental fatigue to beat the Vols?
Florida wasn’t all that physical either in its only game, dropping its opener to Michigan 33-17 in Arlington, Texas. The Gators managed to scratch together only 154 total yards, 11 on the ground.
Florida had to cancel its home game against Northern Colorado in advance of the hurricane making landfall in the state and didn’t hold its usual media availability early this week.
The Gators are 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 games after accumulating less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game.
If You Still Can’t Decide Who To Bet On:
- Volunteers are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games following a ATS loss.
- Volunteers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games as an underdog.
- Gators are 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 games following a ATS loss.
- Gators are 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games following a bye week.
Tennessee vs. Florida Week 3 Betting Analysis
Florida beat rival Tennessee 11 times in a row from 2005-15, going 8-3 against the spread in the process. But the Volunteers rallied last year in Knoxville to halt that skid.
I am picking the Vols to win this game.
