Week 11 NCAA Football Lock Picks

With a handful of weeks left in the 2016 college football season it is time for you to cash in big using my Week 11 NCAA Football lock picks.

Week 11 NCAA Football Lock Picks

My Week 11 college football lock picks start this Thursday, Nov. 10th with a matchup that is usually featured on the hard court. Can North Carolina take down Duke? How will Utah handle ASU in Tempe? The one lock pick from Saturday has Alabama battling Mississippi State at home. Who has the edge in that SEC matchup?

#15 North Carolina at Duke
When:  Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7:30 pm ET
Where: Wallace Wade Stadium, Durham, NC
Odds: North Carolina -21

Analysis: The Tar Heels climbed 6 spots in the AP Rankings after taking down Georgia Tech 48 to 20 as a -12.5 favorite in their last. NC has covered in 3 straight games.

They play a team in Duke that has covered in 4 out of their last 5. Duke’s defense isn’t all that bad. It allows less than 24 points per game. But North Carolina is on a roll. They believe that they’ll maintain their lead over Virginia Tech in the Coastal Conference.

What it means is that NC can’t lose to another coastal conference team. I don’t mind giving up the 21 points in this game knowing how motivated North Carolina is.

Week 11 NCAAF Lock Pick: North Carolina

#16 Utah at Arizona State
When:  Thursday, Nov. 10 at 9:30 pm ET
Where: Wallace Wade Stadium, Chapel Hill, NC
Odds: Utah -5.5

Analysis: The wheels have fallen off the Arizona State wagon. The Sun Devils started out 2016 going 4-0 against the spread. Since that time, ASU has gone 1-4 SU. The Sun Devils aren’t playing with anything. No fire. No heart. Nothing. Neither the offense nor defense appears to be up to par.

This spread is less than 6 points. Although Utah has 2 losses on the season. Both losses could have been wins. The Utes dropped a game to Cal 23 to 28 after trying to play ball control against the Golden Bears. Instead of keeping the ball for 42 minutes, the Utes should have scored 42 points.

The loss to Washington was on a fluke play. Utah had a big shot at upsetting Washington. I don’t think they make any mistakes like that this Thursday night. I like Utah to win easily.

Week 11 NCAAF Lock Pick: Utah

Mississippi State at #1 Alabama
When:  Saturday, Nov. 12 at 12:00 pm ET
Where: Bryant-Denny Stadium, Tuscaloosa, AL
Odds: Alabama -29

Analysis: The Alabama Crimson Tide is not only undefeated on the season, but they’re also 7-2 against the spread. The Tide has covered the spread in their last 5 games. They haven’t allowed 14 points or more on defense in their last 3 games.

Mississippi State has won 2 games in a row. Beating Texas A&M 35 to 28 in their last was nice. But the Bulldogs travel to Tuscaloosa for this game on Saturday. I just don’t think that Mississippi State has enough on offense to break down the Alabama defense while the Bulldogs’ defense allows close to 30 points per game on average.

The Tide will roll again.
