After another week of big time upsets are you in the hunt for a few good Week 12 NCAA football lock picks? Look no further. I have a trio of must bet lock picks for this week’s college football action.
Week 12 NCAA Football Lock Picks
There is such a discrepancy among teams in the Big Ten that 2 of my 3 College Football Lock Picks are Big Ten teams. Can Ohio State continue terrorizing its Big Ten rivals in a road game versus Michigan State? How will Wisconsin play against Purdue on the road as a huge favorite? Can Georgia Tech step it up against Virginia at home only 7 days after upsetting Virginia Tech on the road?
#2 Ohio State at Michigan State
When: Saturday, Nov. 19 at 12:30 pm ET
Where: Spartan Stadium, East Lansing, MI
Odds: Ohio State -21.5
Analysis: The Ohio State Buckeyes have stepped it up big time. After losing 21 to 24 to Penn State on October 22, Ohio State has won 3 straight. They didn’t look great against Northwestern in their 24 to 20 win as a -25.5 home favorite, but against both Nebraska and Maryland in their last 2, Ohio State has been unbelievable.
The Buckeyes beat Nebraska 62 to 3 on Nov. 5 as a -17 home favorite. Ohio State dominated a Nebraska team that was ranked in the Top 10 at the time. Then, on Nov. 12, Nebraska put a 62 to 3 beat down on Maryland.
Both Ohio State’s offense and defense have put it together. The Buckeyes sure appear capable of beating Michigan State by at least 22 points on Saturday.
Pick: Ohio State
#6 Wisconsin at Purdue
When: Saturday, Nov. 19 at 12:00 pm ET
Where: Ross-Ade Stadium, West Lafayette, IN
Odds: Wisconsin -27.5
Analysis: Like Ohio State, Wisconsin has climbed back into the Top 10 by beating its Big Ten opponents. The Badgers took down Iowa 17 to 9 on Oct. 22. On Oct. 29, they beat Nebraska 23 to 17. A week later, Wisconsin beat Northwestern 21 to 7. This past Saturday, they took down Illinois 48 to 3.
The Badgers are not only 8 and 2 straight up. They’re also 8 and 2 ATS. Wisconsin’s opponent on Nov. 19, Purdue, allowed Northwestern to score 45 points against it in its last. Purdue has lost 5 straight and 6 out of their last 7.
Wisconsin should beat Purdue by at least 35 points in this matchup.
Virginia at Georgia Tech
When: Saturday, Nov. 19 at 3:30 pm ET
Where: Bobby Dodd Stadium, Atlanta, GA
TV: ACC Net
Odds: Georgia Tech -10.5
Analysis: Georgia Tech may have salvaged their season. A pre-season favorite to win the Coastal Division in the ACC, G-Tech put a beating on then ranked Virginia Tech as a +14 road dog on Nov. 12. Georgia Tech beat the Hokies 30 to 20.
The Ramblin’ Wreck get a chance for somewhat of a reprieve this week. They don’t face a team nearly as capable as Virginia Tech on Saturday. Virginia is 2-8 straight up. The Cavaliers are 4-5 ATS but they are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games.
Georgia Tech should make it 2 impressive wins in a row on Nov. 19.
Pick: Georgia Tech
