College Football Week 2 Lines & Expert Picks

College football week 2 lines are out and I am here with a trio of expert picks that you can take to the bank this week.

College Football Week 2 Lines & Expert Picks

Arkansas State at #1 Alabama
When: Saturday, Sep 8 at 3:30 pm ET
Where: Bryant-Denny Stadium, Tuscaloosa, AL
TV: ESPN 2
Odds: Alabama -36 ½

Analysis: Alabama made short work of Louisville in their first game this season. The Crimson Tide built a sweet 28-0 halftime lead on their way to a 51-14 win. Bama’s college football week 2 line puts them at a 36.5-point favorite when they host Arkansas State.

Alabama’s defense doesn’t appear to have lost a step even though few players remain on the unit from last season’s championship winning team. Bama’s offense looks to have improved big time. Sophomore quarterback Tua Tagovailoa completed 12 of 16 for 227 yards and 2 TD passes.

Arkansas State’s defense won’t stop Tua. There’s a great chance Alabama beats Arkansas State by 42 to 50 points.

Week 2 Expert Pick: Alabama

Rutgers at #5 Ohio State
When: Saturday, Sep. 8 at 3:30 pm ET
Where: Ohio Stadium, Columbus, OH
TV: BTN
Odds: Ohio State -35

Analysis: Rutgers defense played exceptionally well in the 35 to 7 Week 1 victory over Texas State. The Scarlet Knights held Texas State to 169 total yards. Week 2 projects to be much more difficult for Rutgers, though.

Ohio State amassed over 700 yards and scored 77 points in their win over Oregon State. Rutgers is much better than Oregon State. Unfortunately for the Scarlet Knights, the Buckeyes are 4-0 ATS in the last 4 head-to-head matchups between these two teams.

Don’t worry about the college football week 2 line being 35-points. Bet the Buckeyes.

Week 2 Expert Pick: Ohio State

#2 Clemson at Texas A&M
When: Saturday, Sep. 8 at 7:00 pm ET
Where: Kyle Field, College Station, TX
TV: ESPN
Odds: Clemson -13

Analysis: In Week 1, Texas A&M dominated Northwestern State 59-7. Now, Jimbo Fisher’s squad must step it up versus Fisher’s nemesis, Dabo Sweeney and the Clemson Tigers.

Clemson beat Furman 48-7. Odds makers favored the Tigers by 50. Sweeney doesn’t care so much about the score. What Sweeney cares about is how both his quarterbacks, Kelly Bryant and Trevor Lawrence, performed well.

Lawrence completed 9 of 15 for 137 yards and 3 TD passes. Bryant completed 10 of 16 for 127 yards and a TD pass. A&M’s defense must adjust to both Bryant and Lawrence.

That won’t happen, bet the college football week 2 line favoring Clemson by 13-points.

Week 2 Expert Pick: Clemson
