Week 3 Moneyline Upset Picks College Football

The best part of college football are the surprise upsets. But which college football week 3 games should you bet the underdog to win straight up? I have a trio of bankroll boosting week 3 moneyline upset picks for this week’s college football action.

Week 3 Moneyline Upset Picks College Football

LSU at Auburn
When: Saturday, Sep. 15 at 3:30 pm ET
Where: Jordan-Hare Stadium, Auburn, AL
Stream: CBS Sports
Odds: Auburn -10

Analysis: One of the top rivalries in the SEC kicks off on Saturday when Auburn battles LSU. It’s Tiger versus Tiger with Auburn a home favorite over the team from Baton Rouge.

Neither Auburn nor LSU has dominated the series. Since 2014, each team has exacted revenge over the previous season’s winner. In 2014, Auburn beat LSU 41-7. 2015 saw LSU beat Auburn 45-21. In 2016, Auburn beat LSU 18-13 while LSU beat Auburn 27-23 last season.

Based on last season’s result, Auburn should beat LSU this season. However, this is a different LSU team. The Baton Rouge Tigers average 32 points per game while allowing an average of 8.5 per.

LSU’s defense is as good as Auburn’s. Their offense might be slightly better. I’m with LSU on the moneyline.

Pick: LSU +310

Boise State at Oklahoma State
When: Saturday, Sep. 15 at 3:30 pm ET
Where: Boone Pickens Stadium, Stillwater, OK
Stream: Watch ESPN
Odds: Oklahoma State -3

Analysis: If Boise State gets past Oklahoma State, they should run the table. Boise State averages 59 points per game. That ranks fifth in college football. The Broncos’ defense only allows 13.5 points per game on average.

Oklahoma State is a good team, but they must play Boise State without last year’s starting QB, Mason Rudolph. Rudolph now sits on the bench behind Big Ben Roethlisberger with the Pittsburgh Steelers. That’s how important Rudolph was to Oklahoma State’s offense.

Boise State should easily beat the Cowboys on Saturday. Don’t be surprised if the Broncos end up the favorites before kick-off.

Pick: Boise State +135

Ohio State at TCU
When: Saturday, Sep. 15 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX
Stream: Watch ESPN
Odds: Ohio State -12½

Analysis: Saturday’s huge matchup against TCU is the final game the Buckeyes must play without coach Urban Meyer. Ohio State’s looked fantastic against nothing but cupcakes. It’s easy to cover a -40 spread against Oregon State, a team that only beat Portland State last season.

The Buckeyes must now try and cover against TCU in TCU’s backyard. The Horned Frogs should not only beat Ohio State against the spread, they should also beat the Buckeyes on the moneyline.

TCU averages 241 rushing yards per game. TCU’s offensive line was the only question mark. The Horned Frogs prove they’re for real on Sep. 15.

Pick: TCU +380
