Week 4 Moneyline Upset Picks College Football
TCU -175 at Texas +155
When: Saturday, Sep. 22 at 3:30 pm ET
Where: Royal Texas Memorial Stadium, Austin, TX
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Spread: TCU -3½
Analysis: Texas hasn’t yet solidified itself as a legitimate Top 20 team, much less once that can hang with the best in the Big 12. TCU’s been one of the best Big 12 teams since it joined back in 2012.
The Horned Frogs are 4-1 SU and 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two. This includes TCU beating Texas 24-7 at home last season as a -7.5 favorite. Although not a huge upset, TCU should be the dogs on Saturday because Texas battles the Horned Frogs at home.
Week 4 Moneyline Upset Pick: Texas at home
Stanford -130 at Oregon +110
When: Saturday, Sep. 22 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: Autzen Stadium, Eugene, OR
Stream: Watch ESPN
Spread: Stanford -2
Analysis: Stanford probably should get the benefit of the doubt against rival Oregon because the Cardinal has gone 3-2 SU in the last 5 meetings. Stanford is 2-0 SU in the last two seasons.
That’s not the only reason bettors favor Stanford. The Cardinal have 2 solid wins on their schedule: San Diego State and USC while Oregon’s beaten Portland State, Bowling Green, and San Jose State.
But, amazingly, this season’s Oregon Ducks’ squad can play some defense. Opponents average less than 350 yards against Oregon while scoring less than 24 per.
Beating Stanford straight up won’t be easy. The Ducks can pull it off.
Week 4 Moneyline Upset Pick: Oregon
Wisconsin -170 at Iowa +150
When: Saturday, Sep. 22 at 8:30 pm ET
Where: Kinnick Stadium, Iowa City, IA
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Spread: Wisconsin -3.5
Analysis: Wisconsin’s dominated their rivalry with Iowa. Since the 2013-2014 College Football Season, the Badgers are 4-1 straight up in their last 5 versus the Hawkeyes. Things might turn out different this season, though.
Between wins over Northern Illinois and Northern Iowa, the Hawkeyes beat a top Big 12 team, Iowa State 13-3. The Hawkeyes have a good defense this season while there’s a question mark about Wisconsin’s D.
The Badgers had to replace their entire defense after last season and this rivalry game should be close. Iowa has a big shot to win this one straight up.
