Week 4 Over/Under Picks College Football

Everyone loves college football because of the big plays and high scores. But with sky-high college football Week 4 game totals which games should you bet the over on and which game is the under a smarter bet? Keep reading to find out.

Week 4 Over/Under Picks College Football

Army at Oklahoma
When: Saturday, Sep. 22 at 7:00 pm ET
Where: Memorial Stadium, Norman, OK

Game Total: 63

Analysis: The Sooners average over 50 points per game. Oklahoma’s defense is decent, but it doesn’t really shut anybody down. Even Florida Atlantic scored 14 points against Oklahoma’s defense this season.

Army, like every season, leans on one of the top rushing attacks in college football. Even in a 14-34 loss to Duke, Army rushed for 168 yards. Army should control the tempo, but like Duke, the only team close to comparable to Oklahoma that Army’s played so far this season, the Sooners should score at will.

Oklahoma might get the over by themselves.

Week 4 Total Pick: Over

Mississippi State at Kentucky
When: Saturday, Sep. 22 at 7:00 pm ET
Where: Kroger Field, Lexington, KY
Game Total: 54

Analysis: Mississippi State trounced Kentucky 45-7 last season. Quarterback Nick Fitzgerald completed 18 of 26 for 155 yards and a TD. Mississippi State rushed for 282 yards and a 5.9 per rush average.

This season, Mississippi State’s offense looks better than it was last season. In Mississippi State’s last game against a Big 5 Conference team, Kansas State, they scored 31 points. K-State only pitched in 10.

Because I expect a similar type game versus Kentucky on Saturday, I’m going under.

Week 4 Total Pick: Under

Arizona State at Washington
When: Saturday, Sep. 22 at 7:30 pm ET
Where: Huskey Stadium, Seattle, WA

Game Total: 49

Analysis: Both Arizona State and Washington are defensive-minded football teams. The Sun Devils shut down Big Ten power Michigan State a couple of weeks ago. That’s the game that tells us how talented ASU’s defense is because Michigan State returns its quarterback and most of its offensive line this season.

Washington’s defense held Auburn’s offense to only 21 points in their first game of the season. That’s a testament to Washington’s defense because Auburn’s offense is the best offense the Huskies defense will face.

Both teams should play good enough defense for this one to go well under the total.
