Army Vs Notre Dame Point Spread & ATS Pick

Week 7 College Football Upset Picks

As always, the college football schedule is ripe for upsets! Week 7 is no different. Can Indiana hold off hot Nebraska at home? Will Stanford make amends after 2 straight losses versus rival Notre Dame on the road? How will Oregon State respond to favored Utah after upsetting California at home in Week 6?

College Football Week 7 Upset Picks

Nebraska at Indiana
When:  Saturday, Oct. 15 at 3:30 pm ET
Where: Memorial Stadium, Bloomington, IN
Odds: Indiana +7

Analysis: Mike Riley has done an amazing job at Nebraska. I told everybody that would listen that Riley was a good enough coach to get the Cornhuskers to play hard. I think that Nebraska is going to be a program to reckon with in the Big Ten.

But the Cornhuskers have a tough battle on their hands on the road in Week 7. Indiana is no slouch of a team. The Hoosiers upset Michigan State and hung with Ohio State until the 4th quarter. They have enough on offense, and a good enough defense, to put a serious scare into the Nebraska faithful.

I’m taking Indiana and the points in this game.

Pick: Indiana +7

Stanford at Notre Dame
When: Saturday, Oct. 15 at 7:30 pm ET
Where: Notre Dame Stadium, Notre Dame, IN
Odds: Stanford +2.5

Analysis: In year’s past, this would be one of the biggest games of the season. Not this season. Stanford just suffered its second straight loss. Notre Dame has already lost 4 times this season. Neither team is going to scratch the Top 10 in 2016.

That doesn’t mean that football handicappers can’t make some money on this game. For starters, Notre Dame’s defense is still horrid. Don’t let the 10 to 3 loss to North Carolina State fool you. Nobody was going to move the football in that swamp this past Saturday.

Stanford coach David Shaw is too good to let the Cardinal suffer 3 losses in a row. He’ll draw up the perfect offensive game plan to expose the major flaws in Notre Dame’s defense. Washington State thoroughly embarrassed Stanford’s defense.

I think Shaw’s going to really get into his team this week. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Stanford beat Notre Dame by close to 14 points in this battle.

Pick: Stanford +2.5

Utah at Oregon State
When:  Saturday, Oct. 15 at 4:00 pm ET
Where: Reser Stadium, Corvallis, OR
TV: Pac 12
Odds: Oregon State +13

Analysis: The much maligned Oregon State Beavers beat a decent Pac 12 team in their last game. The Beavers shocked everyone when beating California 47 to 44 as a +13.5 home dog. What was crazy was how Oregon State rushed for 474 yards and a 9.5 per rush average.

Utah only allows 118 total rush yards against it per game. The Utes should definitely win the game, but covering 13 points versus an improving Oregon State team doesn’t seem possible. Don’t get me wrong, Oregon State has thoroughly embarrassed itself in a couple of games this season.

But they did lose by only 2 touchdowns to Boise State. Coming off of the win over California, makes Oregon State a tough team to give 13 points to. I expect the Beavers to keep this one close.

Pick: Oregon State +13
