Week 8 NCAAF Parlay Picks

We have hit week 3 in NCAA football and picking winning parlays might seem like a daunting task, but I have a trio of winning NCAAF picks that you should parlay this week. Happy hunting!

Week 8 NCAAF Parlay Picks

There’s a concentration on the ACC in this week’s College Football Parlay Picks?  Can Miami bounce back as a dog against Virginia Tech on the road after losing to North Carolina? Will North Carolina cover a double-digit spread against Virginia after beating Miami on the road this past Saturday?  How will Texas A&M handle the pressure of battling Alabama on the road as a huge 17-point dog?

Week 8 NCAAF 2-Team Parlay Pick

  • Miami +4
  • Texas A&M +17

Miami at Virginia Tech
When:  Thursday, Oct. 20 at 7:00 pm ET
Where: Lane Stadium, Blacksburg, VA
TV: ESPN
Odds: Miami +4

Analysis: The Miami Hurricanes lost their second game in a row when North Carolina beat the Hurricanes 20 to 13 on Oct. 15. The Hurricanes face their third straight tough ACC opponent, this time on the road, in a battle against Virginia Tech on Thursday, Oct. 20.
Virginia Tech lost 17 to 31 to Syracuse as a -23 road favorite. Could Virginia Tech really beat Miami, a better team than Syracuse, as a -4-point favorite after playing so badly against the Orange this past Saturday?

I don’t think so. Miami has the better quarterback in Brad Kaaya. I also think that head coach Mark Richt won’t let his guys get too down about the loss to North Carolina. I’ll take the 4 points.

Pick: Miami

#6 Texas A&M at #1 Alabama
When: Friday, Oct. 21 at 3:30 pm ET
Where: Bryant-Denny Stadium, Tuscaloosa, AL
TV: CBS
Odds: Texas A&M +17

Analysis: Without a doubt, Alabama is the absolute best team in the nation. The Crimson Tide rocked Tennessee nasty-like in Knoxville this past Saturday. The Tide beat Tennessee 49 to 10. Tennessee’s defense had no answer for Alabama’s offense while the Vols’ offense made way too many mistakes.

I love Alabama. They’re a lock for the College Football Playoff in my mind. But I think that their match up with Texas A&M might be their toughest this season so far. The Aggies have a decent defensive line. What it means is that A&M could keep it close purely on being able to stop Alabama’s offense from scoring.

It should be tougher for Alabama’s D to shut down Texas A&M’s offense the way it did Tennessee’s offense. I think A&M keeps this within 17 points.

Pick: Texas A&M

Week 8 NCAAF 3-Team Parlay Pick

  • Miami +4
  • Texas A&M +17
  • North Carolina -10

#22 North Carolina at Virginia
When:  Saturday, Oct. 22 at 3:00pm ET
Where: Scotts Stadium, Charlottesville, VA
TV: ACC Net
Odds: North Carolina -10

Analysis: The North Carolina Tar Heels travel to Virginia to battle the Cavaliers in what could be a letdown game for them. The Tar Heels beat the rival Miami Hurricanes on the road this past Saturday. Could North Carolina bounce and have a bad game against Virginia?

Sure, they could. But even a bad game versus the Cavaliers should lead to at least a 14-point win over Virginia. That’s how much better North Carolina is than Virginia. Virginia’s defense allows 32 points per game while averaging 28 per game.

North Carolina’s defense is one of the better units Virginia has faced this season. The Tar Heels should win this game by at least 20.

Pick: North Carolina
