College Football Week 8 Parlay Picks

After a wild and wacky weekend of college football action that saw a few more nationally ranked teams take unexpected losses, now more than ever is the time for some expert college football picks. With Week 8 quickly approaching, let’s get down to business with my weekly trio of picks you can parlay.

2-Team Parlay Pick College Football Week 8

  • Purdue Boilermakers
  • Louisville Cardinals

Purdue Boilermakers (3-3) at Rutgers Scarlet Knights (2-4)
When: Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 12:00 PM ET
Where: High Point Solutions Stadium, Piscataway, New Jersey
Odds: Purdue -8

Analysis: Purdue took a tough one on the chin in their 17-9 loss to new No. 5 Wisconsin, but the fact of the matter is that the Boilermakers have been revitalized in Year 1 of the Jeff Brohm era and played a very good game against a Badgers team that is a legitimate national title contender. I know Rutgers picked up an impressive 35-24 win over Illinois on Saturday, but Purdue is the better statistical team on both sides of the ball. The Boilermakers have yet to lose consecutive games and they’re a near perfect 6-1 ATS in their last seven games while Rutgers has gone 5-12 ATS in their L/17 conference contests. The Boilermakers win and narrowly cover the chalk despite being on the road.

Pick: Purdue -8

Louisville Cardinals (4-3) at Florida State Seminoles (2-3)
When: Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 12:00 PM ET
Where: Doak Campbell Stadium, Tallahassee, Florida
Odds: Florida State -7

Analysis: Louisville’s national championship hopes are long gone and their ACC conference championship hopes aren’t looking very good either. The Cardinals have lost two straight and looked totally defenseless in giving up 31 second-half points in their stunning 45-42 loss against a mediocre Boston College team. Still, I like Lamar Jackson and the Cardinals to at least cover the college football betting line against a Florida State team that just isn’t very good this season as they showed in their narrow 17-10 win against Duke this past weekend. Despite their struggles this season, Louisville is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a losing home record while Florida State is a winless 0-3-2 ATS this season.

Pick: Louisville +7

3-Team Parlay Pick College Football Week 8

  • Purdue Boilermakers
  • Louisville Cardinals
  • Michigan State

Indiana Hoosiers (3-3) at No. 18 Michigan State Spartans (5-1)
When: Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 4:30 PM ET
Where: Spartan Stadium, East Lansing, Michigan
Odds: Michigan State -7.5

Analysis: Nobody expected much out of now, No. 18 Michigan State before the season began, but the Spartans keep finding ways to win games, even though they haven’t been real pretty in doing so. After recording a typically ‘ugly’ 30-27 win over Minnesota this past weekend, Michigan State is the easy pick to get past an Indiana team that put up a great effort in their 27-20 overtime home loss to No. 19 Michigan on Saturday. The Spartans have a very good defense that allows just 18.2 points per game to rank 18th nationally. Michigan State has held four of their six opponents this season to 14 points or less and three of those opponents to an identical 10 points including Michigan and Iowa. The Spartans win and narrowly cover in another ugly one!

Pick: Michigan State -7.5
