2015 Vegas NFL WR Props Vs WR Fantasy Rankings

2015 Vegas NFL WR Props Vs WR Fantasy Rankings

The 2015 NFL season is upon us making it time to start studying up for your fantasy football draft. The league has become a passing league making the WR position evermore important. You need wide-receivers that you can bet on week in and week out on your team.

2015 Vegas NFL WR Props Vs WR Fantasy Rankings

This is the one offensive category where both the Vegas props and the WR fantasy football rankings are on the same page. The top wide receiver in the Vegas props for most yards is Pittsburgh’s Antonio Brown. Brown is going off at less than 10 to 1 odds, around 5 to 6 to 1, in most sportsbooks. Brown is also ranked first in most fantasy rankings. Last season, Brown caught 129 passes for 1,698 yards and 13 touchdowns. He’s no doubt going to be Big Ben’s main target this season like he was last season. Expect Brown to post huge numbers and have a shot at leading the league in receiving yards.

Who Will Have More Receiving Yards

Julio Jones -120
Antonio Brown +100

Demaryius Thomas -105
AJ Green -115

T.Y Hilton -110
Jordy Nelson -110

Odell Beckham Jr -125
Sammy Watkins +105

Dez Bryant -120
Alshon Jeffrey +100

Jimmy Graham +105
Rob Gronkowski -125

After Brown, a surprise player is listed on the Vegas prop for receiving yards list. Atlanta’s Julio Jones is second at around 13/2 odds to lead the NFL in receiving yards. Jones is injury prone, which is why fantasy players are shy on his chances of garnering points. Jones is ranked around fifth or sixth on most fantasy wide receiver rankings. Last season, Jones had 104 catches for 1,593 yards. What fantasy players and those looking to back Jones for this prop should worry about is Atlanta’s ability to rush the football. If the Falcons can’t rush the football, they won’t be able to give Matt Ryan enough time to throw. Also, the defenses in the NFC South have become better. Jones is tough to back.

Top 5 wide receiver regular Calvin Johnson is ranked seventh, behind Jones, on most fantasy WR lists. Megatron is 15/2 in most sports books to lead the league in receiving yards this season. Johnson missed 3 games during the regular season in 2014. He still caught 71 passes for 1,077 yards and 8 touchdowns. If you’re a believer in Matthew Stafford, Megatron’s QB, you have to think that Johnson’s numbers will be up in all categories in 2015.

Jodry Nelson at Green Bay, Odell Beckham Jr. who plays for the New York Giants, Dez Bryant at Dallas and Demaryius Thomas at Denver are all ranked high on the fantasy WR list. Thomas is 2, Bryant is 3, Odell Beckham Jr. is 4 and Nelson is 5. When it comes to odds for receiving the most yards in the NFL this season, Nelson and Beckham Jr. are 8 to 1 while Bryant and Thomas re 10 to 1. Thomas at Denver should have a great season. Peyton Manning, his QB, will be dead set on proving his doubters wrong. That means throwing bombs to Demaryius Thomas.
