Analysis: Eli Manning always seems to play well in Big D. Some of the biggest games of his career have occurred in Big D. I’m not counting on that happening this season. Rookie Dak Prescott looked great during the preseason. The Cowboys have an electrifying running back in Ezekiel Elliott. Elliott gets to rush behind the best offensive line in football.

The Giants’ offense didn’t look in sync the entire preseason. There’s no doubt that Manning to Beckham Jr. is going to be a great combination. But the Giants’ defense is bad. It doesn’t look like it’s going to stop Elliott or Darren McFadden, if McFadden is healthy, from running all over the Giants’ D.

Pick: Dallas

What: NFL Week 1
Who:Miami Dolphins (0-0) at Seattle Seahawks (0-0)

Listen: Miami vs Seattle

Analysis: Could Seattle beat Miami by at least 11 points. Sure, they could. Seattle QB Russell Wilson has become one of the best overall quarterbacks in the NFL. The rushing attack looks great with Christine Michael carrying the load during the preseason.

Why, then, do I prefer Miami?  First, giving up 10.5 points in the first game of the season is ridiculous. It makes no sense. That’s the first reason. The second reason is because I truly believe that new Miami head coach Adam Gase is going to get Ryan Tannehill to finally start playing like a talented quarterback. Tannehill has two soon to be talked about wide receivers in second year pro DeVante Parker and the underrated Jarvis Landry. Jordan Cameron at tight-end is also going to play well. Oh, yes, if Arian Foster is back to where he was before the injuries, the Miami offense should rock.

I definitely think they do enough to keep Seattle from covering the spread.

Pick: Miami

3-Team Parlay Pick For NFL Week 1

  • Dallas Pk
  • Miami +10.5
  • Los Angeles  -2

What: NFL Week 1
Who:Los Angeles Rams (0-0) at San Francisco 49ers (0-0)
When: Monday, September 12, 2016
Start Time: 10:20 PM ET
Where: Santa Clara, CA
Stadium: Levi’s Stadium
Spread: Rams -2
Moneyline: Los Angeles -145 at San Francisco +125
Game Total: 44

Listen: Los Angeles vs San Francisco

Analysis: I’m not as sold on the Rams as so many other people who live in the City of Angels are. It’s nice that the NFL is back in L.A. That’s for sure. But, the Rams are a long way from challenging Arizona or Seattle in the NFC West.

But in this game Los Angeles should look like it’s going to win the Super Bowl. L.A. needs some work in order to get good again. San Francisco might need to trade entire teams with Stanford in order to win 2 to 3 games. That’s hyperbole, of course, but the 49’ers hired a coach with a tired system, Chip Kelly, to coach a player in Colin Kaepernick, who just looks way too tired for his age.

I don’t see how RB Todd Gurley and the Rams’ defense stomps the 49’ers on Sept. 12.

Pick: Los Angeles
