Why Bet The Philadelphia Eagles To Win The 2018 Super Bowl
Why should you bet on the Eagles to pull off the huge upset in Super Bowl 52? There are a few great reasons. First, Philadelphia has already overcome the odds as an underdog, twice, this postseason. The Birds beat Atlanta 15-10 to cash in as a 3-point home dog in the divisional round. Then they smacked Minnesota senseless in their stunning 38-7 NFC Championship game win almost two weeks ago.
However, that’s not the most important reason why the Eagles are looking odd heading into Super Bowl 52. No, it’s really, Philadelphia’s phenomenal defensive play, not just in their two playoff wins, but going back to Week 16 of the regular season. Since that time, Philly has not allowed more than 10 points in any contest. Last but not least, the best reason to back the now, high-flying Birds is the most recent performance of often inconsistent veteran quarterback Nick Foles and game-planning of underrated head coach Doug Pederson. Foles lit up the Vikings for 352 passing yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions as Pederson put together a game plan that played to Foles strengths and masked his deficiencies.
Why Bet The New England Patriots To Win The 2018 Super Bowl
Why bet on Tom Brady and the New England Patriots to win Super Bowl 52? Well, the answer to that is quite simple. First, the Patriots have arguably the game’s greatest quarterback and head coach of all-time in Brady and Bill Belichick. The pair has combined to win five Super Bowl titles and it would be a whopping seven were it not for a pair of upset losses against Eli Manning and the New York Giants.
Not only that but the Patriots, because of Belichick’s coaching and Brady’s unrivaled brain power, simply problem solve their way to victory time and time again no matter who the opponent is. If you’ve got a weakness, you can expect Belichick and Brady to find it and capitalize on it and Super Bowl 52 will be no different. Case in point…after smacking Tennessee around in their 35-14 divisional round win, The Patriots had their hands completely full against the upstart Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Championship – before solving the Jags’ powerful defense and dominating their conference rivals in the fourth quarter to pick up a hard-fought 24-20 win.
2018 Super Bowl Final Score Prediction
While I’m expecting the Philadelphia Eagles to put up one helluva’ fight against the Patriots in Super Bowl 52, in the end, I’ve got to believe the Patriots are going to again, problem-solve their way to victory. If anyone can bring out the ‘bad’ in Nick Foles, it’s Bill Belichick and I can definitely see that happening.
Combine that with the way the Eagles have been playing defensively, will likely get exploited by Brady each and every time they make the slightest error, whereas Matt Ryan and Case Keenum weren’t able to do so.
The Patriots have put together the greatest two-year ATS run in NFL history and are an insane 36-16-2 ATS in their last 54 games and 4-1 ATS in their last five playoff games. For all of their all-out efforts, the Eagles are just 1-4 ATS in their last five games following an SU win and that just doesn’t bode well coming into this contest. I’m going with the inimitable Tom Brady and the New England Patriots to win and cover the spread!
