Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks will be looking to bounce back from their humbling Week 1 loss when they host Brian Hoyer and the rebuilding San Francisco 49ers in a Week 2 NFC West divisional battle that looks like an absolute lock of an outcome just waiting to happen.
Now, let’s find out which one of these teams is that lock selection when they square off at CenturyLink Field on Sunday afternoon with this matchup airing on FOX.

Why Bet the San Francisco 49ers Odds at +13
San Francisco got all kinds of smacked around in their uninspiring 23-3 Week 1 loss to Carolina while never coming close to covering the spread as a 4.5-point home underdog.
Veteran quarterback Brian Hoyer completed 24-of-35 passes for 193 yards but failed to throw a touchdown pass while tossing one interception. Running back Carlos Hyde was limited to just 45 yards on nine carries and the Niners were shut out for three-quarters.
"(We) shot ourselves in the foot," Hoyer said. "We were battling uphill, and a lot of it had to do with our own mistakes and not so much exactly what they were doing."
Those mistakes included 10 penalties for 74 yards in head coach Kyle Shanahan’s debut as head coach for Frisco.
Why Bet the Seattle Seahawks Odds at -13
Seattle got completely manhandled in their 17-9 Week 1 loss to the Packers while failing to cover the NFL betting line as a 3-point road dog.
Veteran quarterback Russell Wilson was limited to a modest 14-for-27 passing day for 158 yards but failed to throw a touchdown pass in the loss. More importantly, Seattle never got its running game going after looking to improve in that area all offseason. Seattle was limited to just 90 rushing yards with Wilson rushing for a team-high 40 yards on two carries. Seattle’s offensive line looked mostly incompetent throughout the affair.
"Not good enough. Too inconsistent and not good enough," Seattle offensive line coach Tom Cable said, "That’s why we’re all kind of disappointed. We hadn’t really seen that at all in the preseason. Expectations are very high, which they should be for this group."
49ers Vs Seahawks Expert Analysis and Prediction
The Seattle Seahawks didn’t look very good at all in their opener, but I’m expecting them to take all of their frustration out on the 49ers to cover the spread in this contest and you should too. The Seahawks are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games following an ATS loss and 5-1 ATS in their last six home games while the 49ers are just 5-12-1 ATS in their last 18 road games and 4-12 ATS in their last 16 games overall. I’m expecting the Niners to fall in nearly identical fashion to their Week 1 loss to Carolina, making Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks the easy pick in this one!
Pick: Seattle -13
