AAF Betting Analysis Week 6

AAF Betting Analysis Week 6

There are three games left for each team in the Alliance of American Football. Teams, especially offenses, have gotten better each week all season long. I don’t expect that to change this week. The action will be exciting. If you are betting on AAF Week 6 action, use my betting analysis to get an edge on your picks.

AAF Betting Analysis Week 6

Memphis Express at Salt Lake Stallions -8
When: Saturday, March 16 at 4:00 pm ET
Where: Rice-Eccles Stadium, Memphis, TN
TV: B/R Net

Betting Analysis: Memphis hopes to upset Salt Lake (-8) on the road on Saturday. Although the Express have played better in recent weeks, they face an uphill climb taking down the Stallions on March 16.

The Express haven’t allowed less than 20 points in any game this season. If it’s sunny, Salt Lake quarterback Josh Woodrum will throw it all over the field. If it snows, the Stallions have a massive edge because they’re more used to the weather. No matter rain, sun, or snow, Salt Lake wins and covers.

Pick: Salt Lake Stallions

Arizona Hotshots at Orlando Apollos -9
When: Saturday, March 16 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: Spectrum Stadium, Orlando, FL
TV: NFL Net

Betting Analysis: Orlando won again in Week 5, which means they remained the lone undefeated team in the AAF’s Inaugural Season. The Apollos are dominating teams. Week 5 was no different. They marched into Birmingham and decimated an Iron squad that up until that time hadn’t allowed a team to score more than 12 points.

Orlando broke Birmingham’s 12 points barrier in the first quarter. By halftime, the score was 20-8. The Apollos ended up beating the Iron 31-14. Arizona isn’t a horrible football team, but in Week 4, the Atlanta Legends beat them.

More importantly, Zona’s defense will have no answer for the Apollos, who can run the football and pass it equally well. Orlando not only wins, but they also cover the nine-point spread.

Pick: Orlando Apollos

San Antonio Commanders at Atlanta Legends -1½
When: Sunday, March 17 at 4:00 pm ET
Where: Georgia State Stadium, Atlanta, GA
TV: CBS Sports Net

Betting Analysis: Atlanta’s been playing much better while San Antonio hasn’t. Although this should be a desperately tight game, things should go south at one point for San Antonio. Like in any level of football, quarterback play means a lot, and that’s where San Antonio has struggled.

Logan Woodside tends to push too much for the Commanders. Woodside believes he can thread the needle ala Drew Brees. He can’t. If Woodside doesn’t make the mistake that leads to a loss, Marquise Williams will. He hasn’t played much better than Woodside has.

For the Legends, Aaron Murray has looked great under center. San Antonio will fight hard. In the end, Atlanta wins and covers as a 1.5-point favorite.

Pick: Atlanta Legends

Birmingham Iron at San Diego Fleet -6
When: Sunday, March 17 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: SDCCU Stadium, San Diego, CA
TV: NFL Net

Betting Analysis: Birmingham is now two games behind Orlando in the Eastern Conference after their horrible performance at home in Week 5. Things don’t get easier on Sunday against the San Diego Fleet.

San Diego was all out to beat Salt Lake 27-25 in Week 5, but, the Fleet got the win. Not only did they get the win, but they also showed they can put up points against a good defense. San Diego quarterback Mike Bercovici completed 22-of-43 for 304 yards. The Fleet only rushed for 31 yards but proved that if you commit to stopping the run, Bercovici will burn you.

Birmingham’s in danger of losing again.

Pick: San Diego Fleet.
