ATS Analysis NFL Week 16
Baltimore Ravens at L.A. Chargers
When: Saturday, Dec. 22 at 5:20 pm ET
Where: ROKiT Field at StubHub Center, Carson, CA
Spread: LAC -4½
ATS Analysis: Ever since their bye, the Ravens have responded beautifully both straight up and against the spread. Baltimore’s a terrific 4-1 SU with the only loss coming in overtime to the Kansas City Chiefs. Against the spread, the Ravens have gone 3-2. They’re an excellent 3-1 ATS in their last 4.
The L.A. Chargers are on a massive roll straight up, winning 4 in a row and 6-of-7. The Chargers also have a winning 8-6 ATS record. But, LAC tends to play down to its competition at home. While the Chargers have been awesome against the spread on the road they’re a terrible 2-5 ATS at home.
The betting line could rise to Los Angeles -6 to -6.5. Baltimore’s the play even if the line doesn’t budge. Giving the best defense in the NFL 5.5 points makes no sense. Ravens to cover.
ATS Pick: Baltimore Ravens +4½
Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns
When: Sunday, Dec. 23 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: FirstEnergy Stadium, Cleveland, OH
Spread: Cleveland -7
ATS Analysis: Cleveland’s been playing lights out, going 4-1 straight up and against the spread in their last 5. One of the covers was a terrific 35-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Nov. 25.
Before blindly backing the Browns at -6.5, though, we should probably check out what the Bengals have been doing. Crazy, but Cincinnati’s turned around the defense. In Week 14, the Chargers only managed 26 points in a 21-26 Bengals loss. Cincinnati held Oakland to 16 points in a 30-16 win.
Cleveland is much improved and should be favored, but Cincinnati’s getting points on the road. The Bengals are 4-2 against the spread on the road this season.
ATS Pick: Cincinnati Bengals +7
New York Giants at Indianapolis Colts
When: Sunday, Dec. 22 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN
Spread: Indianapolis -9
ATS Analysis: The New York Giants went back to their ridiculous ways in the 17-0 Week 15 loss to the Tennessee Titans. However, the Colts are no bargain giving up 9 points at home.
The Giants have an awesome 6-1 against the spread record in their road games this season. Indy has gone 3-3-1 ATS in their home games. The Colts should cover, like they did against Dallas in Week 14, but it’s hard to not take the points because there’s also a chance Indianapolis bounces.
ATS Pick: New York Giants +9
