The Odds-On Favorite Pick To Win Super Bowl 51 – New England Patriots 5/4

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots (15-2 SU, 14-3 ATS) didn’t look particularly overwhelming in their 34-16 win over Houston on Saturday, but they still managed to cover the spread as insane 16.5-point favorites while working out the kinks from their two-week layoff.

Brady got away with tossing two interceptions, mostly because Houston is pathetic on offense and do-it-all running back Deion Lewis starred by repeatedly torching the Texans in a variety of ways.

While New England will face a much tougher opponent when they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship game, there’s a reason why the Pats are the prohibitive favorites – and it’s because no matter what opponent they’re facing or they style of play they’re up against, Brady and Bill Belichick almost always find a way to win.

The Smart Pick To Win Super Bowl 51 – Atlanta Falcons 13/5

I picked Matt Ryan and the explosive Falcons (12-5 SU, 11-6 ATS) to get past Seattle this past weekend and sure enough they did by beating the Seahawks 36-20. Now, the Falcons are my ‘smart’ pick to ‘upset’ the entire apple cart to reach and win Super Bowl 51.

Not only is Atlanta virtually unstoppable with their league-leading offense, but the Falcons are also playing much better on the defensive of the ball these days – and it is that fact that leads me to believe the once ‘Dirty Birds’ could be left hoisting the Vince Lombardi trophy.

The Falcons have held four of their last five opponents to 20 points or less and have gone 5-1 TS in their last six games against their NFC conference rivals. While the majority of the betting public is already backing Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in their intriguing NFC title tilt against the Falcons, I’m going on record to say that it will be the motivated Falcons that win and advance. Just remember, you heard it here first.

The Dark Horse Pick To Win Super Bowl 51 – Pittsburgh Steelers 4/1

Is it possible that Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers (13-5 SU, 11-6 ATS) could upset Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in their AFC championship game matchup this coming weekend?

Of course they could.

Pittsburgh is absolutely explosive offensively and can put points on the board against anyone and let’s not forget…New England was mediocre against the pass and run this season despite ranking first in points allowed.

With a Super Bowl-winning quarterback and head coach, the Steelers certainly won’t be overwhelmed by the enormity of the occasion. The Steelers are also playing much better on the defensive side of the ball the last six weeks or so and could surprise everyone, but themselves.

My Super Bowl 51 Pick

Call me crazy, but right now, I like Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons to both, win their NFC Championship matchup against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers – before going on to shock the world by beating New England in Super Bowl 51.

The Falcons will be able to score the ball on whoever they face for the remainder of this postseason and should be able to get past any and all comes because of a defense that has clearly improved over the last two months or so.

Besides, at a value-packed 13/5 odds, the Falcons are offering great value!
