Denver Broncos vs Atlanta Falcons Hall of Fame Game Odds & Betting Analysis
Why Bet On The Atlanta Falcons to beat the Denver Broncos
Although Atlanta didn’t go through major changes during the offseason, they went through enough changes to be considered a playoff contender in the deep NFC. The key in the Hall of Fame Game will be how well backup quarterbacks Matt Schaub and Kirk Benkert mesh with the Falcons’ deep wide receiver group. Atlanta, no doubt, will keep Matt Ryan on the bench.
But, Schaub has a ton of experience. He could lead Atlanta to an upset win and cover.
Why Bet On The Denver Broncos to beat the Atlanta Falcons
The Broncos made one of the more splashy moves during the offseason when they signed former Ravens’ quarterback Joe Flacco. Flacco insists he’s got great football left in him. Denver doesn’t have the luxury of keeping Flacco on the bench in the first preseason game. Their starting quarterback must familiarize himself with the Broncos’ offense as soon as possible.
Even if Flacco sits on the bench for more than a series or two, Drew Lock, the second string rookie, should play. Lock has tremendous skills. He can show up the Falcons defense in this.
Broncos vs Falcons NFL Betting Analysis
Although it’s never easy to handicap preseason games, we do have an idea of how both coaches will approach the NFL Hall of Fame game on Thursday.
Atlanta should be way more conservative. Last season, the Falcons went 0-4 during the preseason including losing 0-17 to the Jets in Week 1. The year before, the Falcons went 0-4 during the preseason as well. They lost 20-23 to the Miami Dolphins in Week 1.
Denver is a brand new team with Flacco under center. Lock could be the surprise quarterback choice in this year’s draft, which means the Broncos should score with either Flacco or Lock getting the call. Denver’s offense will be sharp enough for the Broncos to win by around 2 touchdowns.
