Can Stanton and Cardinals Cover Chalk Against Winless Niners and Jimmy G?
The Arizona Cardinals have been an inconsistently consistent mess in alternating SU wins and losses in every single game this season. Still, after losing last weekend, NFL bettors need to know whether the Cards can cover the chalk behind backup quarterback Drew Stanton against the winless San Francisco 49ers and their new starting quarterback Jimmy G!
Let’s find out what’s going to go down when these NFC West rivals square off on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium at 4:05 PM ET with this matchup airing live on FOX.
Arizona Cardinals Vs San Francisco 49ers Free Pick
Arizona Cardinals (3-4) at San Francisco 49ers (0-8)
NFL Football: Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 4:05 pm ET
Where: Levi’s Stadium
NFL Odds: Cardinals -2.5
Why Bet the Arizona Cardinals Odds at -2.5
Why should you bet on Arizona in this contest? Well, as previously stated, they’ve alternated SU wins and losses every week and are ‘due’ for a win following their embarrassing 33-10 loss to the Rams two weeks ago.
The Cards are also well-rested after getting a bye this past weekend while the Niners suffered their eight loss of the season last Sunday. The bad news is that Arizona lost starting quarterback Carson Palmer, likely for the remainder of the season after he suffered a broken left arm against the Rams, not to mention they’ve been without superstar running back David Johnson since he dislocated his left wrist in Week 1.
Why Bet the San Francisco 49ers Odds at +2.5
Why should you bet on San Francisco in this Week 9 NFC West matchup? Well, outside of the fact that they’re completely desperate, they’re also going up against Arizona’s backup quarterback and may have some added confidence after trading for former Patriots backup Jimmy Garoppolo, even though it’s highly unlikely he’ll start in this affair. Unfortunately, the Niners haven’t won a single home game since September 12 of last year and rookie signal-caller C.J. Beathard has struggled in tossing three picks and two TD passes since he was named the starter a couple of weeks ago.
Carinals Vs 49ers Free Pick
The Cardinals may not be very good this season and they’ll be without Carson Palmer in this contest, but they’re still the pick to win and cash in for me, seeing as how the Niners will start C.J. Beathard one more time before Jimmy G takes over and Frisco is giving up a generous 27.4 points per game to rank a pitiful 31st in points allowed.
Sure, Arizona is a winless0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games and uninspiring 1-5 ATS in their last six games against their NFC conference counterparts, but the Niners are just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 home games. The 49ers will have a chance in this one, but I’m thinking they end up on the wrong side of a field goal loss. Take the Cards to cover the chalk in a squeaker!
Pick: Arizona -2.5
