Panthers Vs Packers Week 7 NFL Spread Betting Pick:

The Packers (4-2 SU, 3-2-1 ATS) have won three straight, including their narrow 27-24 Week 6 win over Miami (thanks to Joe Philbin) as a 1.5-point road fave.

Gifted quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw for 264 yards and three touchdowns against the Fins and won the game by leading the Packers on an 11-play, 60-yard drive which he finished with a four-yard scoring strike to Andrew Quarless with just three seconds remaining.

"Any time you overcome adversity, you have this experience to build off. That’s why you play. This is an excellent character win," coach Mike McCarthy told the Packers’ official website.

"We knew this would be a tough game coming down in the heat. We said we weren’t worried about it and we weren’t worried about it, but the fact is we’re from Wisconsin."

Rodgers became the first player in league history to throw 15 touchdown passes with one or fewer interceptions in the first six games of a season. He’s gone 170 pass attempts without a pick, leaving him just 11 short of the career-best mark he set in 2010.

Rodgers’ 111.4 passer rating ranks second in the NFL.

"I need to work on my vocabulary. The guy is a remarkable player," McCarthy said. "Aaron sees the game so well, like none other. … Things come to him differently than other guys."

Carolina (3-2-1 SU, 4-2 ATS) has won two straight and climbed back from a 17-10 halftime deficit to tie Cincinnati 37-all in their Week 6 matchup while covering the spread as a 7-point road dog.

Athletic quarterback Cam Newton threw for 284 yards and two touchdowns in the tie against Cincinnati while rushing for a season-high 107 yards and another score.

"The first time in my life," Newton said of the tie. "It’s kind of weird where you play good enough to win. It’s kind of a 50-50 feeling. I don’t know how to react."

Newton rushed for just 42 yards in his first four games as he tried to get healthy from a high ankle sprain he suffered in the preseason. The two-time Pro Bowler had a career-high 17 rushing attempts

"When you keep getting numerous yards, you have to keep calling it," he said. "That’s just the simplicity of football. Coming into this game, I didn’t think I was going to run the ball as much. But like I said, that’s my attitude — anything it takes to win, I’m willing to do."

Newton has rushed for an NFL-high 2,181 yards among quarterbacks since joining the league in 2011 to go with 29 TDs, 18 more than the next-closest quarterback.

I know the Carolina Panthers almost completed one of the largest comebacks of the season this past weekend, but I don’t see Cam Newton and company simply having their way against the Packers in this Week 7 clash.

Green Bay has won three straight and although they struggled mightily to beat Miami on Sunday, they’ve also been scoring the ball at a high rate by putting up 27 or more in four of their L/5 games and each of their last three games overall.

Carolina is 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games against their NFC counterparts, but the Packers are a blistering 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games in the month of October and 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games overall.

The Packers hold a slim 7.9-point scoring differential edge over the Panthers and should be able to hold it down at home against the often offensively-challenged Panthers, particularly seeing as how the Pack have won an insane 30 of 33 home games with Aaron Rodgers under center.

My Week 7 NFL Spread Betting Pick: Green Bay -7 Points
